[NBA.com - Dec 21, 2016] Cavs' J.R. Smith needs thumb surgery, will miss extended time 3 team trade: Cavs in: Ben McLemore, KJ McDaniels, Tyler Ennis (using the $9.6M Anderson Varejao TPE) Rockets in: Cavs 2nd round pick, Mo Williams, DeAndre Liggins Kings in: Mike Dunleavy ↕ Cash considerations sent to (partially) cover Mo Williams salary; Williams to be waived afterwards. Cavs sent $1.8M earlier this year to 76ers with Sasha Kaun trade. "Maximum Annual Cash Limit" is $3.5M [2016-17] per CBA FAQ.
Kings salary dump KJ, Nene, & Ennis all on 1 yr guaranteed deals. Simultaneous trade Koufos for Bogut Bev, Afflalo Harden, Gordon Ariza, Dekker Anderson, Harrell Capela, Bogut
Can't trade Nene out of principal. Afflalo might be good for this team but he's pretty old now. We do need to bolster the front court but I hope we could do better than Kosta. I have come to think that with time Ennis might be alright. He's only 22. I see more in him than I do KJ.
Dragic is on the trade block. Quietly putting up 19 and 7 on 41% from 3. Wouldn't mind him and Gordon running the bench when harden needs a breather. Could go small with dragic, gordon, harden in the backcourt which would be lethal from 3 and ball movement wise. He's making 15 million. Something like Brewer, KJ and a few picks could get the job done. Considering the Heat are short at SF/PF it could work out well.
What would it take to get Holmes from Phili? He would be an ideal pick up and he's hardly playing right now.
http://www.espn.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=juc75uw If Bullock comes back healthy I think this would be a nice package to receive. Upgrade C. Brewer or atleast replace him for less than 1,000,000 for this season....Nice backup backup center and a decent pg option...Throw in a second round pick and det might jump on it
The piece we need is another superstar who can work with Harden while on the court to space the floor even more and when Harden is seated dominate. That's the only reason I see to trade the pieces of Ariza, Dekker, Harrell and Beverley and Capela. Anderson is in a bit of a slump so we are not getting to see how powerful this offense can be when he is consistently scoring 20 a night which he should be able to do. I love the Harden, Gordon, Anderson, Beverley and Capela dynamic right now. They are so powerful together. A perfect fit for this offense would be Rip Hamilton. That dude never stopped moving away from the ball and could hit from just about anywhere. That's the type of player we need to seek out in a trade. Sadly, Curry isn't available.
A few players with high assisted field goal ratios: Kelly Oubre Courtney Lee Michael Kidd-Gilchrist Doug McDermott Allen Crabbe Closest thing to Rip Hamilton based on style of play would be Courtney Lee imo.
Rockets get an additional 3+D player (40+% 3PT shooter) that can run backup PG duties (and one of D'Antoni's favorite players), Suns get two young players.
I like trade #1. Holmes & Ennis are expiring contracts. Holmes was undrafted while Ennis was a 1st rd pk. Ennis-not a bad PnR guy for a team w/patience & Embiid to Roll with. Holmes might up 3P% @ 40% w/Rox. I like trade #2 if Atlanta would go for it. Trade#3 C.J. Miles.....good find. They may be able to put Brewer to use in fast break action. Pacers are doing better since Monta Ellis sat. Monta is too much of a volume shooter. They are better w/faster pace.
BrewEr, McLemore, Gay to Orlando Vucevic, 2 firsts, Elfrid Payton, KJ to Sacramento Cousins to Houston
A bust and a guy lost in the rotation for a serviceable small forward, a locker room guy, and a sharpshooting guard (exactly what they need). Picks come from rockets.
