Will he be a trade chip, or a piece brought over to suit up once we make a consolidating trade for another superstar? My guess is trade asset. What's yours?

Panathinaikos Superfoods Athens announced the arrival of Alessandro Gentile

    Is their name really "Superfoods"?

So do they have headlines like, "the Russians feasted on Superfoods last night". "The Italians have had enough of Superfoods". "Superfoods lacks bread and butter plays "

Rockets don't have the cap space to sign him this year so this is expected.

Rockets wouldn't want him here this season anyway. But D'Antoni will push for a signing im summer.

Here's some trivia. The fathers of Gallinari, Newley, & Gentile all played for Olimpia Milano. Gallinari & Newley's fathers were teammates of MDA.

Gallinari & Gentile also played for Olimpia. Newley had signed to play with Olimpia but there was some funny business with the Turkish team he was playing for. He ended up losing a season's worth of wages to get out of his Turkish contract even though they hadn't been paying him or his teammates. One of the pitfalls of Euro basketball if your'e not a big name or American.

It's also funny that the league is now called the Turkish Airlines Euroleague (apparently?).

Though his NBA impact was minimal, the impact he had on internet messageboards will last a lifetime.

that's my (european) team so I will actually get to watch him a lot. Very happy with this signing. There's a big derby with Olympiacos coming hopefully he will be good.
