Jae C. Hong/Associated Press Report: Blake Griffin to undergo minor knee surgery, out until January Posted By: Bruno ManriquePosted date: December 19, 2016In: NBA L.A. Clippers high-flying forward Blake Griffin will undergo minor surgery on his right knee and is expected to return at some point in January, according to Shams Charania of The Vertical. Griffin will go through a “clean up” procedure early this week. He has struggled with left calf and knee soreness throughout the season as well, per sources.
No excuses, we've had to deal with Beverley and the D-Mo scandal so let's hope they lose big and we'll see them full strength in March.
The Clippers strangely seem to excel when either Griffin or Paul miss extended time. But maybe the Rockets catch a break and this injury helps them solidify the 3rd seed(or better).
Unless they drop all the way to #7 or #8 (which is unlikely), the only thing that really matters is how healthy and tuned up Blake is for the playoffs. Based on history, Clippers fans should be very worried.
I think the Clippers are betting the farm this year. Both Biake & CP3 will opt out this summer and I doubt very much both guys return unless they win the championship.
OKC has absolutely nothing to offer. Don't think Ballmer and Rivers will break this group up. They won't get an appropriate exchange value for Blake at this time, so they might as well give it one last chance.
How long will he out? I don't wish injury on anybody. Plus I want to see us whip the Clippers azzes at full strength
