So, to sum up a lot of what I've seen in these threads:

    1. The first contract was good
    2. The second contract was even better
    3. Glad we got rid of him

Remember this time its you calling a player an asset. Morey erred in the past using that language and hasn't since publicly..

But the narrative of the anti front office folks is that he sees assets and not players.

I bring it up because, this time it's you using the term, it's not being quoted from Morey.

So after seeing a bunch of tweets, articles, Joel Blank etc. talking about how the Rockets did D-Mo dirty, I'm confused as to what exactly the Rockets did wrong.

If this actually happened, then the league can just undo the tearing up of the offer sheet and forced the rockets to match or let him go to jersey. Dmo is now prohibited from going to NJ, and the rockets could have just kept him an RFA by all accounts, so I don't think your possibility is correct.

this is strange, I sense a wave of new DMo threads in the air, in the near future, there's no way this is the end of the drama.

    Rockets did nothing dirty.

If everyone had followed the rules, as they were written, as they were intended, then everyone has exactly what they want.

Only one person didn't, Dmo. He did not report on time for his physical and that action ****ed himself and the Nets.

That is 100% on him for being an idiot.

    "We know our rights"...****ing stupid.

Yeah, DMo didn't follow the rules and both the Rockets and Nets can no longer sign him.

Get real dude. Silver is locking out both teams and letting DMo go free. You should be able to figure it out. The two teams involved in the offer sheet were penalized.

If this thing were a snake you guys would already be on the way to the emergency room.

"Reasoning"? No reasoning is needed to use the one-time, Amnesty Provision anymore than the Rockets needed to give a reason to waive Bobby Brown.

Wasn't the reasoning because we were running out of time to use the provision (use it or lose it), it cleared playing time to develop PPatt, Morris, TJones and DMo (who were all on the team at the time) and it purged salary for Dwight, eventually. The purging part was the reason teams were given the provision in the CBA.

No physical reason was needed to waive him. Are you saying the Rockets did him dirty and said something bad publicly about his fitness to play?

Yeah they could have opted to keep him rfa and taken a different penalty. Either one cost them an asset. They chose to lose DMo.

Great example to show why there are 50% of the morons among us to vote for Trump in this country.

There is nothing to cure stupidity.

In High School dating terms, it goes like this:

    1. The first prom choice was good
    2. The second one was better
    3. Glad "you" renounced both of them

Just a question, what's the situation about his bird rights? Are those gone at this point? Not that i think it matters since that statement on the release seems pretty clear and we already resigned Brown, but still...
