    Ever since Nowitski came into the league, the Mavs have had two upper hands on the Rockets. This after two decades of the Rockets owning the Mavericks.

    The Francis, McGrady, Yao, Adelman eras did not overcome the hump.

    I'm still in awe of the Spurs and how they transitioned from Robinson, to Duncan, to Leonard.... Three decades of elite basketball with only the suck year when Robinson was hurt allowing for them to draft Duncan.

    They sucked to get Robinson too. The ugly truth is that tanking works, IF the FO is competent.

    Having one of the top 5 coaches of all time helps too, especially if the coach don't take crap from any of his players. Attitude reflects leadership.

    Tanking is an art, you have to do it in the right draft. A team could get the #1 pick 3 years in a row and find role players. Or they could hit an ace of spade in the right draft and get an MVP.

    The Mavs are sucking in the right year. From reading a few reports, this is going to be a really good draft talentwise.

    LOL I really hate it when people bring these arbitrary numbers just to make their point, they're not really saying anything and people generally pull these kind of crap when they want to **** on the Rockets or Morey.

    Last Friday Night IN THE DALLAS-FORT WORTH METROPLEX - more people watched the Rockets than watched the Mavericks

    Feels great! Love how this team is playing....what a difference a year makes. Last year it took them 37 games to even get to 18 wins on 7 Jan, when the team was 18-19. What a horrible season that was, thankfully it feels like ages ago!! :)

    It's not as fun when the Mavs are sucking this bad, though. I like it to be competitive and not one-sided.

    I like it when they suck but I'm not happy about high lotto picks for them. I would rather they did what we had to, meddle in mediocrity for years. They don't have a GM that can pull out Harden out of his hat so they would just continue to suck.
