i think dallas would think about it and ultimately not go through with it. right now that is. i think after this season or next, yao will be the most desired player in the league. the rockets would simply laugh and hang up.

Why bring this up? It's not at all likely to happen.

If I traded Yao for one player it would be Tim D. Yao has lot's of potential....man, am I tired of that damn word.

Yao will be one of the greatest, so I would pretty much never trade him.

Tim is the only player that comes to my interest.

I would do the deal if it were Ming/trade cash Eddie Griffin and MO taylor for Dirk, Najera, Delk, and picks like two future 1st.then we should sign Othella Harrington

    Our lineup:

    Cato/meech/Pig
    Nowitzki/Harrington
    Najera/JJ/A. Griffin/Boki
    Mobley/Pike/Delk
    SF/Wilks/Norris

    Their lineup:
    Ming/Bradley
    Walker/Fortson/Taylor
    Jamison/EG
    Finley/
    Nash/Best

I would do it in a heart beat if and only if Dirk's ankles are perfectly fine. Yes the Mavs would be set to win but so will the Rocks Baby:D

Right now, I want nothing more than for Jerry West to tell MemphisX how much of an idiot he is.

I guarantee that Memphis would trade Lo-Wright, Gasol, Battier and a future pick for Yao Ming. (If salaries matched ofcourse.)

Pau is better than Yao? Please. If Pau is better than Yao, and I'm sure  Jason Williams is better than Francis, then why did Houston win 10 more games than Memphis last year?

Yes,Pau Gasol is better than Yao Ming.Maybe at the the end of this season,or next season,Yao is better, but right now Gasol is better. And probably Yao Ming has more trade value than Gasol because of marketing reasons.
Yes,Yao Ming will not be the best player of the NBA.
Yes,Yao Ming did not deserve starting for the Western Conference team in the last ASG.But with all Yao fans that think Yao is the the second coming of JesusChrist,I am sure Yao will be the starter center in the ASG for his entire career.
And yes,Yao Ming is a great player and he can develope into something special
I like Yao Ming as a player and as a person, but let put things in perspective.

Diss Yao all you want, you just lost all credibility with your sig. Oh and yes of course Gasol is better. He averaged 5 more points, playing 7 more mins, taking 300+ more shots to do it. They are similar in every statistical category (in fact advantage Yao for doing it in less mins) except assists which we all know Yao would easily get more than Gasol if the Rox can hit the open shot. Considering that Gasol sometimes plays SF (ie. more chance to pass the ball) and that Yao gets double/tripled in the low post that saddens me (if I were you). Aside from that, Yao has the chance to become much better than Gasol will ever be. Oh yeah it's all marketing indeed.

Oh yeah, remember there's another half to the game? It's called defence. Guess who's better on D.

I am not dissing Yao,but maybe you think that anybody that doesnt think Yao is better than Wilt Chamberlain is dissing Yao.
Gasol took 300+ more shots to do it...and shot a better FG% than Yao,51% to 49.8%.
Anyway, you say I lost all credibility with my sig.Well, you lost all credibility writing Gasol sometimes plays SF.Go and watch some Grizzlies games.Gasol has NEVER played SF in the NBA.He has played mainly at PF position and sometimes at C.
    Go and get a clue.

Yes, try and get double/triple teamed AND shoot 49.8%. If you're trying to tell me that's easy then yeah Gasol's the better player. Let's see Gasol play with a constant double team. Let's see Gasol gets double teamed by the T-Wolves before he even touch the ball even though KG's on him half the night. Gasol doesn't change other teams' strategy on offence or defence (but what am I saying, he doesn't play D any ways). If you can't find anything better to say than me thinking Yao is better than Chamberlain or I should go get a clue, then go sniff some more glue. It'll help you even more.

I'm stuck up here in Mavs land, and there's no way that Cuban would do it - he's much too fascinated with Nowitski & Nash. That said, we as in Houston faithful, should be less willing to do such a trade. The sky is the absolute limit with Yao.

Which morphs to my next point, and greatest fear...more than once, I have envisioned a scenario (albeit a nightmare) in which Shaq retires, oh, about the same time that Yao's rookie contract is running out with the Rockets...hmm, would he? Think about it ...La-La land with all that entails - the celebrity, more $$$$$ for endorsements, a bigger Asian community. I just shudder to think about that!

Shifting gears here - has Les erected that promised statue to Hakeem in front of the Toyota Center yet? I REALLY hope that when that happens, that it's in the old style uniform as opposed to the pinstriped/prisoner uniform that Dream unfortunately had to wear in the twilight of career with the Rockets.

    STOP-

    Trade Yao????????????

He's our guy. You don't trade your guy unless he is a big problem as a person.

Get with it fans, Earl Campbell, Nolan Ryan, Hakeem Olajawon, and Yao Ming.

    Don't stop the destiny...

    He will become "the One"

    Championships return to Clutch City!
