I would never trade Yao for C Webb and probably no body else straight up except for maybe Duncan. That being said, given Yao's current salary, if another team is willing to take on contracts to balance out salary and do a trade I would do it with the following.

For KG if minny takes MoT, Amechi, Moochie and Eg contract while giving us a 1st round pick.

For Nowitski if they take MoT and Moochie and give us a first round pick.

I would never trade Yao for a smaller player like T-Mac unless we know we can get a serviceable big man (Magloire, Gooden etc) in return from another trade.

Francis, I would trade for Kidd straight up. Everyone else isn't worth it and since we can't dump salary, I wouldn't do it. However, if something like Francis + EG + Nachabar for Marbury and Amare comes up, I'd do it in a heart beat.

Duncan probably yes. KG not sure. KG is a stud, but it doesn't seem he will be the guy to lead a team to Championship. 7-straight first-round play off exits? C.Webb? HELL NO!

No, I wouldn't. But, if the trade was done, Iverson is enough compensation that I wouldn't feel as if I've been completely had. We hope that Yao can be great, but Iverson currently is great. So, while I'd probably prefer to hang on to Yao and hope that his potential is realized, it may end up in hindsight that cashing him in for bonafide and completely realized talent would be more profitable. But then, I seem to have a higher opinion of Iverson than you do. I don't think he's on his decline yet.

why would some people trade steve for lebron? have any of you seen him play in the preseason? sure he has some rebounds and assits, but he cant shoot worth crap....face it guys lebron is not that great, he's all hype and he's selling tickets which is great for the cavs

carmelo is the man, a smart guy and already doing great in the preseason. denver will be building around him. he will be a lot closer to the next jordan that everyone thinks lebron will be

i wouldn't trade yao for any player in the league, period.

steve - kidd or marbury only if i had to.

my perfect team has us keeping both steve and yao and filling in the pieces. what do you know, that's what we have.
