Explain your thinking here. You really believe that Morey has nothing on his mind other than to screw DMo over? You really think that?

I believe so. They have to wait 3 months under the new deal. So he either joins the Rockets or he's cut would be my guess as to how the situation is resolved.

So is it all but confirmed that the holdup is over his physical? If so, he sounds like damaged goods. Detroit already wanted no part of him. And now it sounds like the Rockets are having similar concerns. I have no idea why Brooklyn thought he was healthy, but then again, they're one of the worst run organizations in the league.

Possibly both? Nullify the contract and still keep him restricted lol?

    Its looking like:
"D-Mo you b*stard you. Knew ALL this time your back was MESSED up, made us and everyone go through ALL this TROUBLE. But WE caught you, that back's in bad shape. We WONT PAY you for that. Maybe we can void this deal and rework something even smaller. Or you can go find another one, and good luck wherever you go. But DONT BLAME US for this and future smaller deals!"

D-Mo indicated its NOT a health related issue but he could be lying.

What kind if snag could we be dealing with ?

Do we believe Dmo when he says it's not a medical issue ?

How is this something that is taking this long to solve ?

Will we ever know the truth?

I think we will. But the truth may not come out immediately. Might take some time to disclose everything.

One thing this could be, IMHO is the Rockets want out, and they want DMo to be able to go to the Nets.

And no need to keep him restricted if they have no plans to match.

For results of any physicals they did??

If it is to roll-back rescinding the FREN, that's pretty unprecedented. See Nahmed tweet above. Rescinding the offer sheet makes Nets ineligible to sign him. I suppose anything can be rolled back with League and Union approval, though.

They sure did not seem to be wanting out the first time. But whatever reason (broken back) changed their minds.

Because we are #1 right now, we don't deal with blackmailing! Morey knows everyone around the league in GM offices, will be thankful for this, and he ,and Rockets will be in the news for at least 6 days! Possibly GM of the Year Award in play here!

Something doesn't smell right. Why/How are they involving Brooklyn?

Morey is not a bad guy, if he has decided to move on, he will try to help DMo land somewhere else, ala Aaron Brooks etc......In my head the only reason to bring the league in is to find a way they can let DMo take the Nets offer.

This probably stops them from being sued by DMo as well - and getting into a long litigation about which doctor is right.

I am assuming that after Yao Ming - the Rockets doctors are SERIOUSLY risk averse, and others doctors might be like...sure it is a risk, but why not?

Ooooh, looks like my tea leaf reading might be on the nose.

Or, on the less conspiracy side of things, maybe they want Brooklyn to have their doctors release their findings.....not as cool, but just as plausible.

Only thing I could see is if the Rockets want the results of the physical he took for them.....but that's not really a good reason to keep putting this thing off.

What's the potential downside of voiding the physical and cutting him in July?

I think he tagged them without thinking too much of it.

Morey's comments were limited to say that "we are working towards a resolution" as per Calvin Watkins. Nothing about Brooklyn, but the league office is involved.
