Mr. Motiejunas himself told us that he is back in action and all good later today.

    He's not Dwight.

Harden and D'Antoni are the leaders of this team. They both want D-Mo back. He knows they are the leaders of the team. I don't see the recipe for him messing up chemistry. I just don't see how it could happen.

Oh I'm not comparing DMo to Dwight. I think DMo is a good dude, it's just an odd situation. I don't blame DMo for trying to get as much as he can, that's what free agency is about sometimes.

When I speak of chemistry, it's more about on court than anything else. I think DMo potentially fits in nicely, especially at the 5 spot. The Rockets would be able to space the floor even more than they do now. That said, this team is playing together very well right now and I think it's fair to have concern when you're adding someone else to the mix.

I think that line of logic makes a lot of sense. But it probably fits more when you are contending - then you don't fix anything that isn't broke. However, I don't think that the Rockets are on that contender level yet. So adding DMo shouldn't be that much of a risk. And I'm not saying that DMo would get us to that level, all I'm saying is that he could improve this team, and if by off chance he makes us worse - it's not like he ruins a contender.

So the question here is really, is that low risk - high reward gamble worth taking? My answer is yes.

There is no risk here, we released the 15th man on the bench to take a shot that he is healthy and can get back to his form - if he doesn't he is released this summer.

This is a "No risk" move by the Rockets.

He's at least reduced his "correct predictions" during this saga to a single one: RFA being a dirty business.

Apart from that, he's no longer haranguing us about how he had this situation figured out well in advance of everyone else because he knows we're not buying it.

    you're mostly right.
But as with everything in life, there is risk.

The risk here is cya risk... what does it mean organizationally if you're just going to bypass medical records? What does it say to future FAs and their agents? Is there any liability if he does get really hurt only to try and sue or something? That type of stuff

Let's not resort to revisionist history with an "I told you so" 4 years later, when you didnt' tell anyone anything.

This thread is about DMo - please try to stay on topic.

At this point, I'll be surprised if D-Mo is actually able to return and really contribute this season. Hoping the other way though.
