I can totally hear D'Antonio's voice and rising intonation through his sarcastic smile while reading this.

Coach Mike D'Antoni said it was premature to think of the Rockets as among the contenders, but they had done enough to be mentioned.

"I think we're there in the conversation," D'Antoni said. "Now the conversation may be short, but we're there. It doesn't mean anything, it's way too early; we've just got to get better."​

Anyone else now read his quotes in his voice.

 

Basically what I said if you understand me. That he really WANTS to start, but if being professional and accepting of it because he is HAPPY to be on a WINNING TEAM, and will add with great teammates.

Yeah, he's crazy with that one. Marion in his prime was way better than Ariza, ever. That Suns team was far superior offensively than us right now. We have no prime Amare or prime Joe Johnson. However, we have an opportunity to have better balance and be better defensively than that team.

I seem to remember Morey being interested in Tobias when he was on his rookie contract in Orlando. His game would seem to translate well in an MDA system as a combo forward.

We can't afford him. He makes too much money and won't come cheap. We probably can't trade him without giving values back.

The kind of scenarios that may work are
Option 1. Ryan Anderson
Option 2: Brewer + KJ + Dekker

but I am not sure if this improves the team.

I am all for getting a rim protector like Tyson Chandler but not someone who may or may not improve the team because we already have such a good thing going on here!

 

Here's another example of Brewer playing perfect team defense. First he covers the backdoor pass to a cutting Mejri as Capela let him through to stay strong-side. Then Brewer still closes out to block a corner three.
