Brewer is not really good its just the other guys are adjusting their games for how bad he is and we win anyway, that wont happen in close games if we are forced to go to the bench. He needs to go.

Lakers fans are calling us a glorified second round exit but were happy as hell a couple of weeks ago when they thought they would be a first round exit, LMAO.

That means a lot coming from fans of a glorified lottery team ... for the 4th year in a row?

I like how brew moves without the ball and our guys setting the screens for him for him to attack the rim as soon as he comes around the screen. Would like to see similar play set for other guys.

Watched the replay already knowing the results, so maybe I had a different mindset than if I'd watched the game live. But the thing that struck me was just how aggressive and relentless we were on the offence. For opposition teams it would actually be quite scary how we play. For the first time in a very long time, we have so many decent options (Caveat - Except when Brewer is on the floor).
I'm loving these Rockets! And got to admit, I got it wrong initially about MDA. I've really warmed up to him.

MDA is a very good coach

But I think it also goes to show you

    1) coaching is still more important than maybe some think.

    2) how bad Mchale JB and that whole staff was.

I'm extreamly happy with the coaching and not just MDA who's been brilliant but also Bizdellick, there's a lot of times I see him off the bench coaching these guys yelling at them during a defensive play.

I mean just last night the end of the bench guys are in we're up 40 and Bizdellick is off the bench yelling and screaming at guys to switch and were to be.

    Very refreshing.

The guys are buying in and it started with the Beard. He's finally figured it out he's a great leader he's trusting his teammates he's empowering his young players like dekker Harrell and Capela.

This guy harden needs to get more credit than the numbers. He's focused he's always talking to MDA he's into the games when it's a blowout watching the young guys. He's always jumping off the bench cheering everyone on. It's awesome

Just last night Capela and Anderson were talking at the end of the bench Ariza was chilling nene and bev were hanging out also but harden was focused and still cheering on the guys that frankly arnt make or break players like brew Ennis and Kj.

We gotta give harden a lot of love for doing what many didn't think he could. Because in my mind as good as he's been on the court and I think he's the MVP he's been an even better leader. We got a real franchise all time great now fellas.

Had McHale and BJ had the real shooters that MDA has now I think your conclusion might be very different.
I watched almost all the rockets games for last several years, perhaps I only missed a few of games per season. We were always able to create open looks, the only difference is we are hitting those shots now more than before.

I haven't missed a single game brother and yes it goes much deeper than guys making or. It making shots.

Having Gordon and Ryno helps a lot. Also having a canter who plays well with harden helps too. But there is a lot more actions and screens and even pin downs. Harden even passes to the center and runs around multiple screens even if it's just to get the ball back. Little stuff like that gets open lay ups and open threes throughout a game.

I never saw anything like that with Mchale. It was harden ISO get in the paint and Kick it to a shooter.

Our offense was never this good or efficient in a Mchale offense.

    It's night a day.

Agree with YaoMing#1, there's a real positive vibe on this team right now and harden is right in the center of it.

It's also good that we aren't playing Ariza until he is exhausted.

Great watching Dekker and Capela play well.

KJ..... would like to see him do well.

If you think that a team can reach the WCF by just the above, you need to rewatch the games or at a minumum, check those videos that HP created. Mchale is no longer with us and our team is looking good this year compared to last. Can't we just leave it at that?

If Mchale was such a great coach, why hasn't he found another coaching job yet?

I would like to believe so but I think we might be under recency bias, winning cures everything, i remember how 'chemistry was great' many times during recent years. Had we been on 4 games losing streak I bet you wouldn't find many chemistry, many would even even accuse players of being lackadaisical etc.

Who said anything about him being a great coach? The guy coached us to WCF and has the highest winning percentage of any coach in this team (including RudyT) and to somehow label that as bad coaching is nothing less than false perception. This is the NBA, you don't get that kind of record without knowing a little about coaching.

Harden has looked and sounded a lot more poised in his post game interviews lately.

Hasn't he been under contract with us. Think that was the terms of the payout. Plus he's got the cozy job of analyst again. Much less scrutiny.

Got to laugh at the TV analysts talking about Harden's assists. I don't think he is passing any more than previous years, it's just that we're hitting more shots which is giving him the assists he likely would've had in previous years.

What's the only thing better than a beat down?

    A historic beat down!
