I think he does a fairly good job. The ticket surcharge thing was kinda screwey though but we cant hold him completely responsible for that. Not mentioning cc.net and having hoopsworld on the rockets site is also a bit strange. But overall, I feel he has done a pretty decent job.
not trying to bash him and like the chnages rockets have made to the unis and logo but the way everything unveiled was im pretty sure not the way he planned, dont know if he is to blame or not but from a marketing standpoint i think he would agree it wasnt a success in the way he planned it to be but overall he got season tickets up that means more ppl at games and thats a good thing
Was it a good idea to start a thread like this? I think Tim is doing a great job, but I just only have a problem w/ the pricing of the tkts. Other than, keep up the good work.
Tim, I don't know about the job he is doing, never gave it any thought. I do know I am sick of threads or posts that are addressed towards him. But if you can't beat them, join them.. so starting with this post, all of my posts will now be addressed to Tim.
Geez...uh...seems like someone else might have more to do with ticket pricing than marketing, eh? Although periodic special deals are probably due to marketing.
How many oher profesional sports teams have execs that appear (answer questions and share info) on fan web sites?
well clutchcity isnt any ordinary fan website. and what with SOR, they better be paying attention here.
I don't think it's a good idea to start a thread like this. It's not... polite, for lack of a better word. You might even start a poll about the Rockets marketing efforts, but not personal like this, it doesn't feel right. Besides, I'm afraid of the occasional troll who is going to vote "terrible" just for the heck of it, and Tim certainly deserves best. I mean, the guy actually posts here. If that doesn't demand respect, I don't know that would. The only one who should evaluate Tim is Les.
