By the way, the previous 4 years led us up to this point. When healthy DMi wasn't given minutes and was benched in favor of inferior players (Patterson/Terrence). He's been sensitized to politics and having to wait his turn.

For basically all the same reasons he was not going to sign a two-year deal at the time it was offered with no guaranteed salary in the second season just to become essentially a super attractive trading piece for Morey. Why should he do that and allow himself to be traded to a team nut of his choosing and subsequently waived or used as next summer's trade pawn all over the association only to be dropped at the end of the summer after the free agent money pool has dried up? BJ is stupid for not agreeing to that? Nope. You are stupid if you don't understand that.

Like I told you, DMo has his money. He had his money because his agents are putting him in the right place. They're putting him in a position where he controls his future and he cannot be manipulated into a lower echelon player because of team politics.

How? Well if Morey matches this deal he can't trade DMo until next December. They're stuck with his deal. So they have to pay him to increase his future trade value. Or they have to drop him this year after paying a few million dollars. He will then become unrestricted midseason and he can go sign with the Nets, get his minutes and inflate his future free agent value. It the Nets (or another team) can lock him up long term to a bigger money deal.

I don't know if Morey matches here. Because if he does match, then he does have to consider more strongly moving out Anderson and others for cap space next summer. And if he didn't trade Anderson then he'll have continue to consider trading Anderson after the season if he intends to go after a max free agent. So I'm not for sure if Morey matches here. And here's the kicker.....If Morey matches it could still be the prelude to a trade with Brooklyn a little closer to the deadline. With Brooklyn's cap space and their ability to claim DMo on waivers even if Morey matches, DMo could still be in a Nets uniform by March. There have been extensive discussions about Lopez. Nets want him gone. They want value for him (first round pick).

By the way, the original tip I received shoot DMo and the Nets came from a poster here through my Twitter DMs back I July I believe. I was then able to verify and get more info on the situation from other sauces. Additionally, some of the Lopez info I received came from another great CF poster with great connections. I will not reveal to you either of these posters but they are great contributors here. If they want to speak up and verify what I'm saying that's up to them.

As for you HP, go pick on Codman. He was pretty much telling us Gay was going to be here by the end of July. Go figger. Info is dynamic. It changes over time. Things get hot, look like they're going to happen, then they get cold. In second thought, leave Codman alone. He's legit and he's a good guy........even if midst of the info he brings us stales out and doesn't happen. I would encourage you to talk basketball here and think about the logic of what you say. Pulling the QO and the one year guaranteed two-year offer when you were doing so and calling BJ (Armstrong not Batman who was another proponent of the QO) and DMo stupid and r****ded because they weren't doing what you wanted then to do was and is stupid.

Okay I was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt to see what your logic and rationale was but it's clear you're just trying to save yourself from embarrassment now.

i think morey matches.

sure, dmo can't be traded, but we need him on the court this year. he's worth the $8.5M this year.

i wouldn't pick up the option for next year though. letting dmo walk next summer is still better than letting him walk now. at least we get his help this season. next summer we can clear cap space by letting him walk and moving a couple of other contracts.

What? Really? If you can't even admit that Patterson and TJones outplayed DMo in those first two seasons, then I have to assume you are an idiot or just trolling. Just look at the stats, DMo was awful. Don't you remember DMo checking into games and then immediately having to come out because he would pickup like three fouls in five minutes? Or DMo and his horrible shooting percentage? I mean it's not even debatable.

Nope. They did not.

Donuts was the far better for next to Asik and played better next to him. But we played Patterson because it was his fourth season and we had to keep his asset value as high as possible. The following training camp Terrence died not outperform Donuts. He was given the starting nod because of player preference. McHale couldn't even distinguish a difference in them.

Donuts is a better player than both. And always has been.
