Russell Crowe is play Dr. Henry Jeykll. If I remeber, Universal is treating it's monster properties as one universe.

Some of the mummy movies have been really awful. If I watch it it's only because I like Tom Cruise.

I will pretty much watch anything Russel Crowe is in but I can't stand anything Tom Cruise is in for the most part and this looks pretty bad to me. Will probably stream on Netflix eventually

I really liked the first 2 Brendan Fraser Mummy films. Entertaining Pulp cinema. This just looks like Mission Impossible with supernatural elements.

Is this really a reboot or just a different movie with the same title?

Given the source material, the script must be fantastic to get Cruise and Crowe. That or they made so much money over time they could invest in some top tier talent. I'm in. Liked the trailer.

As for Brendan Frasier he seems to suffer from the same issue as Ryan Reynolds. His humor often gets in his way. Yet he has something that can carry you along in a B movie, yet you almost regret it. He just needs to find a character that works with his style like Ryan did in dead pool.

As for the Mummy itself, they always had outstanding cgi moments and sets, and that was enough to draw you in. The story itself was a draw to a degree. I thought the son ( Luke Ford ) was solid enough in his role that he could have infused some life into the series and possibly launch his career. But looks like they went for even more firepower.

I like the Brendan Frasier Mummy movie (the first one or two). I will probably like this as well.

How does Tom Cruise's character survive that plane crash? Inquiring minds want to know.

That Xenu mojo. It's also whats keeping Tom from looking like the rest of the 52 yr olds out there.

In fairness, Universal did similar stuff in the 40s and 50s, so it's not like it's unprecedented for the genre.

Looks terrible... and there is definitely CG work here making Cruise look younger.

I've never seen any of the movies but which one is brendan fraser and which one is the rock? Also, the bird scene in the beginning they kinda just disappear, totally unrealistic.

It's written into his contract that is unless he plays a villain in the movie, Tom Cruise NEVER dies.

Without broken bones or a single scratch I might add.

    Scientology made him indestructible.
