The majority of Morey's trades are convoluted. And yes he does use the waiver to make trades when it works for him.
No matter what you and your amateur blogger friends and twitter buddies come up with this time, the boat has sailed on your wrong salary numbers, and convoluted SnT ideas of "DMo's Getting Paid" big bucks. Your reports of talks around $60m/4yr were waaaaayyyy off. Just like the Nets blogger at RealGM guessing $40m/3yr. But at least he said he was guessing, and confirmed his insider had heard nothing. You just scrape info off the internet and prop it up as your own based on insider "sources." You don't even give credit to others with sources you are piggy-backing and sharing as your own info. We ain't falling for this anymore. I'm sure you are skilled at finding info throughout blogs, other bball forums and twitter, and you could provide a great service here by sharing what you find. Why not just share like malakas, and say "such and such insider at such and such place is saying this." It's weird you feel a need to package it as your own, especially when the origin is just speculation and educated guesses -- it's customary to state that. Just tell us you are speculating like the rest of us. Or where you scraped the news. And then it is all fun, dreamcasting talk. ppl will still read your posts and speculate with you. Probably moreso. That number is wrong. Just like all your numbers. Get it right ... it's $9m for Summer 2017, if not waived, and $8.3m loss this year if we waive before March 1st.
When I speculate I say I'm speculating. When I'm not speculating I'm not going to say I'm speculating. I do scour the net. It's part of my job. But not for sauces. Only for data and to keep up with some analytics I follow. I dont know Mr. 40/3. Have no idea what his connections are. I don't even read realgms forums. I only read about Mr. 40/3 here. And I simply stated that numbers in the range of 3/45 to 4/60 were discussed this summer with the Nets. This offer was lower than those numbers. DMo obviously got raked by the Rockets and the Nets. However it's still more than what you thought he was stupid for not signing, the qualifying offer and the one year guaranteed deal to be a trade chip. Now to move him they have to waive him and must likely he'll clear waivers and sign for another 8-10 million. So I'm glad you pointed out what the actual figures are which office what I said when I told you DMo want losing one dime by not taking the QO or the $7 million deal that you expected him to take. One thing I'm bad about doing though. That's talking to people that can't think their way out of a paper sack much less a cardboard box. I've gotta get back to the game to see if Harden hits 15 on the turnover scale.
Not really. It would have been if I had claimed it was from "sources". I said it was a guess. And they didn't end up waiting until the last couple hours which is what I was basing the guess on
Also, for the ones that think the sources will good on this, not so sure. You said it would be announced soon, and considering its such a short window, it wasn't that soon. it was a guess Seriously, do you guys actually believe that the Houston Rockets organization has that many leaks?
Seems like the deal he signed is way worse for him than what Morey was offering because it doesn't get him much guaranteed and locks him into a middling salary for two more years at the team's option? BBallholic never not getting shown up here. http://www.usatoday.com/story/sport...donatas-motiejunas-rockets-contract/95017568/ "According to a person with knowledge of the situation, the Rockets decided to match the offer and – per the terms of the deal – are on the hook for a four-year, $31 million agreement. While only $5 million of the deal is fully guaranteed, Motiejunas can earn an additional $7.9 million if the 2017-18 team option is picked up by March 1."
