What's the deal with Rhyno's horrible 2PT percentage? Career low for him at 40%, which is worse than his 3PT% - is this something to do with MDA's system by any chance? Thoughts?
little guy on him but struggles posting up and keeping control of the ball. 50 feet behind the 3pt line no problem. he's r****ded
I've noticed when Ryan's inside the Arc he's either fading away, spin move + fading away, or being hacked without reward. If I remember from his Pelican days, Anderson was never given the calls he deserved. There's an upward trend on him getting to the line more, but he's definitely not getting his respect from the refs.
Who cares? He's the second coming behind the arc so far this season...let him drain those 35 footers like a pimp
I just look forward to the point when people will stop talking about his post up game like it's any good. It stinks. Please, everyone - and yes, even you Matt Bullard - please stop saying he has a good post game.
I think you missed the point. Nobody said anything about his 3pt-ers being an issue. I'm just curious why he's struggling from inside the arc so much to even average a career low percentage there. Please stop derailing.
I know, i'm just expressing my excitement for Ryan, it was said on a funny note. Apologies for derailing.
I mean I get that you can't really just make Anderson a strictly 3PT shooter, he needs to mix it up a little bit, but 40% is pretty bad... That's the same efficiency as shooting 26.6% from beyond the arc (if my math is right). Those are Rubio-like 2PT percentages.
Half his 2pt shots are those rebound putback attempts (probably 50-60 FG%) and then the other half are those Dirk Nowitzki off the dribble fadeaway jumpers (20-30 FG%) so that sounds about right.
He got in a major slump after game 8, it sapped his confidence so thats why all his shots werent going in. He broke out of it last two games so hopefully all his %s normalize.
What happened to his Dirk like mid range fadeaway? People used to cream themselves over that move. Btw: There should be a clause for Ryan and Ego to moar and moar 3's because they're so good from long range
It's MDA. He threatened to cut him if he shot a higher % from inside the arc than out. I believe his exact words were "Beard don't need you that close to the basket!"
He is SLOW, and can't get enough space to shoot in a crowded situation, which is why he shoots 5feet behind the arc. DD
He is taking way fewer shots inside the arc and when he does take shots inside the arc, they are all long midrange shots (fades and turnarounds) or 3-10 feet, meaning not easy layups. We aren't asking him to post up, which he has always been pretty good at.
Curry is an buttwipe to play against. I don't think there's any big in the league he can't bother and remember GSW is allowed to play rough.
the spin move is throwing off his equilibrium and giving him the dizzy when he shoots. after a few ballet class sessions his percentage should go up tho
