I'm 43 and my entire life when I hear that trademark ticking signifying that 60 Minutes is coming on I think 'old people'. I remember thinking this when I was 3 and my grandfather was watching.

Will I ever like this show? Will hard lemon candies also spontaneously appear in my cardigan pocket?

When you are retired and it doesn't signal that your 1-2 days of freedom is over.

60 Minutes is night church, it resets the week and weekend after football, golf or UHF screenings of The Wraith or Three O' Clock High.

Same goes for George Michael Sports Machine, 10:00 pm Seinfield, and the national anthem sign-off.

    About 1980, I was 6.

I'm Morley Safer, I'm Mike Wallace, I'm Ed Bradley, I'm Harry Reasoner, I'm Dan Rather, I'm Dianne Sawyer...

After Sunday football I'd watch that with my folks.

For some weird reason I've enjoyed watching it since my teenage years.

Fart jokes are always funny. You fart more when you're older.

If that's true I need to make enough money to retire in the next few years... because I may no longer be able to do sales if I start farting more.

If Lara Logan doesn't make you a regular viewer, nothing will.
