Do you see Eddie holding any of them one on one?

I am in for the experiment, and believe it will work, but nobody should forget that Cato has had problems in the past with starting. It's not beyond Cato to crawl up and go into a shell. Although he seems to have gotten past that.

Exactly what I was going to say. Cato always kicks ass in the preseason -- in fact, it's how he got the Contract he has now, because the Rockets' brass were so impressed by one or two good games. I'll wait until the season to pass judgment.

Having Cato starting at PF is good because JJ, Cat, Steve, and Yao can provide more than enough offense. You don't need another scorer. However, we DO need some scorers coming off the bench when the starters rest...this is where Tmo, EG, and Pike come in. I see Cato splitting his time at PF and backup center.

Well its about match ups too if JVG sees that starting CATO with YAO will help our team than he will put them in together if not than MO T or EDDIE will go in, different teams will give us different approches but its good 2 see we have this option now we never would have before

Not to knock on Rudy T, but I'm extremely happy that we now have a coach that can recognize player skills and abilities and utilize them towards their maximum potential. Give it some more time and JVG will have this team clicking like clockwork.

I definitley don't see how it could hurt to give this a try. It would definitley allow Yao a little bit more freedom, and I'm not sure that many teams except maybe the Lakers w/ Shaq and Malone could match up at all. It should be interesting, and I like van gunday's open thinking

All of this is flattering, but lets remember that Cato is most effective in limited minutes and a starting job was given to him before and he stunk the joint up.
