The Rockets have always been a better road team. The Toyota Center just isn't pumped like the big dawgs.
If we win half of our road games (we're 8-5 so far) I think we win 50+ games and Harden is the frontrunner for MVP. It all depends on health. Bev's injury really affected us and the rotations. An injury to Harden, Capela, Anderson, or EG would be disastrous.
They have lots of different measures on the website I posted, including a basic measure of SOS that puts us 3rd, but their main measure (which I linked to) factors in home and away as well. Also in their other rankings they have future SOS which measures the remainder of the season and we are only 21st from here on out. Not that we will end with the 21st SOS, but our next 63 games are the 21st most difficult.
The thing about inflated stats may have been more true in the past, but this year the Rockets are simply a league average team in pace. Not that we won't stop hearing those arguments, but whatever. http://www.espn.com/nba/hollinger/teamstats/_/sort/paceFactor
If they win tonight to be 13-7 with only 6 home games that will be a credit to the entire organization, from the team Morey put together to Les opening up the wallet, but especially to D'Antoni for putting in a system and getting the players to buy in. .650 winning percentage would be a nice season - and we should go up with more home games. Nice to be here - 13-7 is way better than 12-8, come on Rox! DD
We lost against 3 teams we should of have won against (IMO) and won against two teams we shouldn't have. So pretty balanced season so far. On pace to be a 45-50 win team. Respectable team that plays hard is all I can ask for from this group.
