Apparently Zach Lowe asked Mike straight to his face when will he stop a 25% 3 pt shooter from taking 3's.

MDA's response: "That light is green, we won't put limits on our players. When you do that they've hit their limits"

Gonna be amazing when brewer drops a 50 burger in game 7 of the finals to win the championship

Criptic clue in Morey's statement maybe? He said he won't put restrictions on OUR players. He didn't say Brewer specifically. Brewer trade???

    Morey doesn't have to.
Coach can just sit him or place him in situations where he doesn't have to shoot threes in the offensive scheme.

If w really don't put restrictions on our players then Capela should have spent the last two summers shooting 3's, like I suggested in the summer of 2015.

This will likely happen in the future. Capela has only so many practice hours per offseason and the work he put in learning to be an actual Center will keep him on the court longer in the near term.

If Capela can't make a free throw or consistently hit anything outside of 5 feet, why should he be taking 3-pointers? Some guys have natural limitations on their game and things they simply can't do.

I'm ok with it. Brew gains confidence from his bricks. The more he bricks, the more he hustles. And a hustling Brew is the X factor to NBA dominance

See how Brewer's minutes didn't increase despite a double overtime game?

MDA is probably under instructions to keep playing Brewer ~10-15min per game no matter what, as you cannot trade a $8m contract player that plays less than 12-14 min per game.

+ we'd also kill our offensive rebounding ability, which has become a cornerstone of our identity this season.

I like brewer, his hustle is just to awesome. mDA has him in a good spot. Gets 10-15 mins a game to keep the pace flowing, the defense can't sleep when brewer leaks out. That has kept us in the game against Gsw, they scored and settled a bit and the rockets leaked out and got the points back. It wasn't just brewer but dekker also. I think dekker is stealing/learning that from brewer in that regard. Reggie miller was saying "don't blink". I took that as a compliment to the rockets.

I'm hoping this is a long con and Brewer is missing threes on purpose so when we make it to the finals he will be left wide open and start lighting it up.

I think Brewer has reached a level of self awareness lately. That's good. The goal is to get the ball into the best matchup and the best possible outcome, which unfortunately never includes Brewer unless it's a fast break.

Well, actually Dantoni said it, not Morey.
And I kinda like the idea behind it.
