Really stupid decision by that family. I've lived here as a Pakistani in Texas for 10 years and not once have I ever suffered any racist behavior. People here are in general very nice and if you ever meet a nutter you can't consider him as a representative for the average white American.

Besides, Pakistan is a colossal shithole at the moment. Most people who can leave do so and it's mind boggling that these people want to go back. There's probably more to the story.

 

Would anyone here genuinely want to immigrate to Pakistan, or even step foot in the country (within armed guards)? It seems like the flow of people between the US and Pakistan is unidirectional, and perpetually unidirectional. I don't think that it is necessarily fair that Americans have no immigration recourse through Pakistan while Pakistanis certainly do.

When you have such a unidirectional flow of goods, we call it dumping. Immigration between the US and Pakistan is dumping at this point.
