Lots of jealous magician wannabe here. I think the guy is great at what he does, right up there with David Copperfield. If he makes you so bad to want to google or youtubed his trick to reveal his "secrets", then that really say a lot about his magic which is a complement to him. I don't know about you guys, but it takes a lot out of the enjoyment of these magician/performers when you tried to reveal how the trick was done through youtube/google. From what I've read about him, is that he is great at mind manipulating and distracting people to get them to do what he needs them to do...which is not at all easy to do. Also, some of those tricks are only successful after a few attempts and that they will only show the more successful ones obviously.
The guy is unbelievable. His water/kerosene spouting "trick" is probably the greatest feat a Magician can aspire too. Legendary. His bullet catches are crazy too.
When he is willing to stick a needle daily into his arm for a trick, that is amazing. There is no bounds on what the guy will do for an illusion.
It's really not that different than what someone like Curry does...don't people sometimes say they cant believe how he made X shot? It's seems amazing to us, even magical, but he's a got with a skill, who then perfected it in various ways. Blaine has talent when it comes to presenting his stuff and he perfects the illusions through long hours of practice and repetition.
I mean he's the best magician in the world... If you think magician are hacks than sure but the guy is very talented.

I'm least impressed by the water spout thing, because I know a few people who can do that. 1 person I know can do it much more powerfully than Blaine can. But it's cool that he taught & trained himself to do that. He is very impressive. His new special on Netflix is great! I really don't understand how he gets into people's heads. Like how does he know the card you thought of, the color you thought of, how does he touch you without ever physically touching you??? So awesome. Also, he definitely doesn't catch any bullet. lol. He'd be dead if he were actually shot at.
1. I highly doubt you know someone who can empty the contents of their stomach water spouting like that. 2. He certainly has caught bullets with his mouth. 100 percent.
Someone let me know if his world tour is going to stop in Houston. I would go to it. He's amazing to me.
I think he is at his best when he sticks with card tricks. When he tries to get transcendental, by talking about mind over matter and crap while putting an ice pick through his hand, without it bleeding, or pulling a piece of string out of his eye, or any of the physical trickery - really turns me off. Magicians have been putting in implants for decades to pull off crap like that, so it isn't in the slightest bit believable. His slight of hand is top notch, and his "street magic" where he takes the simple or ordinary and makes it look impossible is pretty great. Never gets old.
1. You wanna bet? I saw it & its WAYY more powerful than Blaine does in the video. My friend insisted he could do it better (while we were watching the special) & had been doing it since childhood. So we stopped the special & they did it into a bath tub right in front of me. Again, WAY more powerful. It was like a hose on full blast. They probably couldn't do the frog thing, though someone told me SteveO used to do that, so maybe it's not so difficult if you can easily empty your stomach & are willing to swallow frogs 2. Well I'd be impressed & Blaine already impresses me. I think it must be an illusion, cause like, he should be dead. But whatever. Maybe he can.... But I doubt it. He's not Neo.
