You can damn sure apply this too Cory Brewer. I just hope it's not because of "politics" why KJ isn't playing. He's a young kid that has enough talent to contribute on the court. Stuff like this is what destroys players confidence

KJ doesn't look mature at all. I can see him being a von wafer/Gerald green attitude problem.

In interviews he seems very mature and humble. I wouldn't give a **** either if this was my third consecutive playing good to only being benched onDNP for scrubs like Brewer.

If I were him I'd probably ask for a trade

MDA saw KJ's twitter messages and decided he doesn't like KJ.

I would question all of my life's decisions if brewer was taking my minutes.

I don't see it either but I can't comprehend how a coach at this point could think Brewer is a better option.

I am a little worried about KJ the player. Usually young players in their 3rd season

show great improvement, if not, the 4th season. If no improvement is shown, they become a mystery.

Time to play him but obviously not st the expense of Sam. I bet we see him here soon. Time to see him playing Brewer's minutes and see what we got with Bev back now.

Why, so he could find a team with more comfortable benches? I mean, his last 3 coaches haven't played him - do you think maybe some of that has to do with the player?

I'm hoping KJ is benched so Brewer can be showcased for a trade. Like someone else said, we're underwater with Brewer's contract right now.

I feel bad for Kj but this is 100% on him, This is not politics at all.

We have to go by the facts. The guy was avg almost 10 points a game and blocking shots at a historic rate from the guard position and yet he still got traded by the sixes his rookie year for Cannan. I mean if the sixers don't think highly of you in your rookie year and trade you, well to me that's a serious red flag.

Second once he got here he didn't play at all. That's understandable it was mid season and we were a 2 seed that made the wcf.

Last season the team was a disaster went through two coaches and he couldn't get minutes from either. Once again another big red flag. I mean Beasley came from China and got instantly in the rotation.

This year it's a fresh start for everyone. It was even open competition through the first 4-5 games and yet he still couldn't catch the rotation.

I really thought this was the year for Kj but I'm off Board, this guy is just not good. At some point it's on him. He's had 4 coaches not want him on the court. That says it all imo.

Maybe he'll get it later on but I don't think it will be in a rockets jersey. For as bad as brewer is. He's a vet he's tested and he still plays within the system even if his skills don't exactly for the system.

First, giving credit to Brewer for playing decent of late. No reason to wish players play poorly to be "right", it only hurts the team.

On KJ, I don't think Sixers "gave up" on him so much,,its more an admittance he played TOO good for them. They they didn't want to PAY him more after KJ's 1 year contract gamble was paying off. Play didn't translate over to Houston, but obviously Morey liked his upside even with the extra pay

KJ is hitting half his FG's now with solid D. He's not a passer at all, but don't see how that knocks back his improved body of work. But MDA always said he was going with a shorter rotation, and KJ has always on the bubble there. All things even between Dekker and KJ, Dekker gets the edge because he's more versatile in MDA scheme. (And, yeah, Brewer)

Good post. KJ is in a similar situation to Montrezl, who D'Antoni has said SHOULD be playing right now. Let's face it, we are pretty deep.

(Just wait for the injuries, KJ will get another chance...)

For someone who has been calling for more KJ, I've got to admit I was disappointed with him last night against the Lakers.
Sure it was rare minutes and he probably had the mindset of trying to hard. But going coast to coast trying to go through 3 players for the layup, getting blocked and missed shots in his 7min with only 2 rebounds I thought was poor on his part.
Compare that to Harrel (or even Dekker) who last season and beginning of this were given equal opportunity to KJ were both amazing last night and recent games. Their energy, movement and making the most of their opportunities.
Just lucky I'm not a GM or scout I suppose.

Heard something about KJ and a 2nd for Joe Ingles. It's out in cyberspace, entertain the thought. I'd personally do it if you top 40 protect the pick.

Ingles? NO WAY! (I mean NO DON'T!) Hey I'm an Aussie, so I'd naturally love to see an Aussie with the Rockets (again - cough cough). But not Ingles.
He's having an indian summer at the moment and remember the only reason Utah brought him in was to aid with Exum (another Aussie) being so young and potential home sickness. But he'll the Rockets nothing.
