Bill is better and it isn't close. Ackerman may be sharper than Bill, but he is boring and his voice is kind of annoying. Ackerman reminds me of the Dallas broadcast annoncers... I hate that.

    Bill.

I've got nothing against Craig, but I love Bill

Bill is the true voice of the Rockets. Let's be honest most of us watching from the 90's till now watched tv broadcast not radio.

Bill is the man. And it'll be a very sad day when he retires.

That being said. Bill constantly makes mistakes now and it's annoying. It's time for him to go and Ackerman seems a good replacement.

I enjoy his and Bull's dynamic.

Home games are def worse than away games. Clyde ruins things as well, but what what else is new?

    I vote for bill

Clyde comes in second, because no one was more excited that the shot clock expired then Corey Brewer because he did not have to shoot that three-pointer

I really thought this poll would of been a 90/10 split in Bills favor.

    Heavily prefer Bill.

Craig is too nerdy, Bull is nerdy too but in a good way, Craig's just annoying. Him trying to quote the SVG youtube clip made me cringe.

I'm amazed by the preference for Worrell -- He is consistently putting his team in a position where they have to correct him.

Bill has a much better voice for doing play by play. Ackerman doesn't have the pipes.

This is hard because I've been listening to both of gentlemen since I was a kid. But right now, I would rather have CA do games.

If you showed one game called by each guy for people who'd never heard either of them, it would be 90/10 Ackerman. The homerism is strong here. Bill can't follow what's going on on the court, Clyde has water on the brain, and Bullard is cornier than Harden's feet.

Bill is an institution, no doubt. But he's getting a tad bit annoying. Craig and Bull have good chemistry, and CA brings a lot of energy with his play by play calling. He's also sharp minded.

I think the annoying, cringeworthy thing that Bill is doing is when one of our players scores or does something well...he always does this "Harden says..." scenario. That **** is getting old real quick.

e.g. in 2014, when we acquired brewer and his first game against portland, hitting threes, bill would say "Brewer says 'Who can't shoot threes? I can'"....it's cool once in awhile, but he does this every game...

    just stop it man.

bull, calvin, and CA would be an awesome trio calling home games. it'd be very entertaining.

Bill easily. But I have to admit it seems Bill's a little snippy this year. He has a more sarcastic & his humor seems very dry at times. Seems like he's a little upset at the organization for forcing him out

Bill's senility is more and more apparent with every game. The man is a Houston legend, but I definitely think it's the right time to make a change. And the Rockets could certainly do worse than Craig Ackerman.

Even though he's a fellow Bearkat, I'm just not a fan of Ackerman. He yells too much. Yelling is great when something exciting happens, but that shouldn't be on every possession.....

Exactly. The play by play announcer needs to be smooth and have a good voice.

Worrell. CA is not a good replacement for TV. Didn't like the choice or the news of them phasing out Worrell at the beginning of the season. A head scratching move by the organization.

As a non-native Houstonian, I one million percent agree. I was honestly stunned to see Worrell leading. I can't make it through entire broadcasts without muting the television. I guess it just shows how much history can alter your taste and perception.
