Two years from now Brewer will probably be working at Whataburger. His energy and professionalism will get him about 8 dollars an hour.
i can't even see the games and i feel like brewer is playing 48 minutes a game. when i saw the box score with him going 0-3 and something like a -9 in 16 minutes, my soul was crushed. it was like he was being a caricature of himself.

Brewer is bad. Rockets system does make him even worse now. Theoritically its to Brewer's fast-paced strengths. Really its magnifying his weaknesses stretching him out thin in a "stretch" role where he's terrible at, pulling away the midrange game where he's better served operating at. Brewer missing threes contributes to being even more wreckless and disjointed than he already is, trying to force plays charging into defenders, trying passes he shouldn't be doing. He'd still be a subpar player even with giving him midrange back. But its time to get a bad player out from an unexpected bad fit.
If his stint in the 2nd quarter isn't an indication of how bad he is, i don't know what is. I was cussing at the tv so much. Fiancee looked up at the tv when i was throwin my tantrum. She asked why Brewer is smiling thru all that crappy play..... Dude was on the court when coach cleared the bench too. That should be the only time he gets minutes

Also if you looked at 3 PT% of players who have attempted 1500 3 pointers in their careers, Brewer is 3rd worst in NBA history. With Beverley set to return soon...what does the rotation look like? Who's minutes does he take? Ennis obviously but I would bet PB returns as a rotation player than starter. Taking Ennis minutes only gives him what...10? Bev is better than that if he's back to the PB we know and love. Does he take away the Brewer minutes too? IDK if the rotation can survive with Harden/Gordon/Bev being the only guards to log PT but I'd like to think McDaniels gets the spot minutes as the 4th guy over Brewer. It just can't be understated how bad Brewer has been. How consistently bad he's been. Can't wait to see this play out. Hope Bev is ready to roll.
