Vs Philly @ OKC Vs Portland Vs Utah @ Detroit Vs Toronto @ Sacramento @ Portland @ Utah @ GSW (10th game) Without counting the GSW game, optimistically we could go 6-3 or 7-2. Not optimistic: 4-5, 5-4
We play some pretenders, do not get me wrong, some are really tough nuts to crack. (nice games against playoff competition Utah, Portland, OKC, Toronto, Detroit) Solid teams, but not Cleveland or SA Spurs caliber.
Not sure why you ignore "Likely/Probable" as an option to sandwich between "Optimistic" and "Not Optimistic." Your "Not Optimistic" is more than likely "Likely/Probable" "Not optimistic" is realistically 2-8, 3-7. Really, it continues our Nov brutal stretch with little to no time for practice, with 7 games against playoff teams.
It doesn't matter if the next 9 games are against crap teams because Rockets usually play down to the opposition
It is really just up to Harden, Gordon, Capela, the usual suspects and not regarding any new injuries. They have been playing well when I least expected it, the Lakers game was a tad puzzling but all the other losses were no real surprises. The new Lakers and Dallas were the only measuring sticks in the West for the Rockets, middle of the pack kind of teams (Dallas' projection was not that bad in the beginning). I expect the upcoming teams to be putting up more of a fight, I think we will see a lot more of those close games as the Rockets have not blown out teams completely. I will revisit your 'Likely, probable' option later as a pattern or tendency will likely shape up how the Rockets will play above average teams. We know they can play their best when facing elite teams.
Amen to that! No easy game in the NBA! Especially when the Rockets are involved. But would be happy with 8-1
