Well to the OP, the Rockets have very little money to spend on a FA that they don't have Bird rights to and they don't really have the assets to make many trades happen. If you were trying to upgrade the team either of those ways, you'd have a really hard time.
Man some of you guys are gonna be happy and feel stupid when y'all see Dmo back healthy and producing under MDA.
D-Mo's rights cannot be traded. He can be SIGNED-and-traded, but that would obviously mean he's signed a contract and would become an unrestricted free agent whenever that contract expired or if he were waived. Also, he cannot be signed-and-traded next summer if he doesn't play in the NBA this season.
After the way BJ Armstrong handled this entire debacle, he shouldn't be allowed to get any more clients. This was a bad combination of Armstrong trying to play a hand that had no leverage and D-Mo's ego.
Of course we'll be happy. IF he signs and IF he produces. Until then, I don't think we're feeling stupid at all. And what's with this Y'all and Y'ule see thing. I've been waiting and I haven't seen a thing.
No one who is intelligent doesn't want D-Mo back or is unaware of what he brings to the table when healthy. Although his back injury is a huge question mark, those who have brains all want him back at the right price. The only person that is getting hurt by this entire situation here is D-Mo though and that's why a lot of fans find this entire experience frustrating.
lulz We should bump all DMo threads from the summer for DMo Thread Appreciation Day. Even the X-Factor one. Who knows, @DudeWah's 3yr strong thread may get legs again, if Morey matches. He'll be the X-Factor one more time!
