The verdict is still out on the young vulture, but thats not to say that I'm happy with him what so ever.

Eddie needs to look within himself right now, and see what he's made of. If he dosen't figure it out soon, look for him at your local Mc Donalds asking you if you would like a brink with that dig mac.

    Good Luck

Well, I'm definitely not going to harp on the Richard Jefferson thing. The Rockets didn't have the roster spots or the money to sign three first round draft choices anyway, so trading up for a better prospect was the right thing to do.

Now, I don't think the Rockets have any choice but to wait and hope Eddie cleans up his act. The other option is trade him for more garbage.

    Great points DC.

With EG not having his contract extended yet, coupled with his AWOLism (is that a word?), his trade value is zero.

Despite what has happened, its entirely possible that hell get his act together and have a good year. However, I am sure, even after he comes back, that hell be in JVG's doghouse for a long time and will have to prove he deserves significant playing time.

Thats a point that many overlook.

    Cut Moochie they cry...
    Cut/Trade Spliffin they cry...
    Cut Boki they cry....

What they overlook is that we take the cap hit if their wishes are fulfilled...and we cant get anything worth talking about by trading.

As Cato has shown, anyone can make a big turnaround if properly motivated.

Funny thing....Mooch actually showed some value last night

I'm fine with holding on to Eggie and seeing if he can be motivated to get his stuff together. What other option do we really have? Thanfully we have enough big men to cover for Eggie riding the pine till he decides to improve...and if he doesnt improve.....let his contract expire.

I pray that will not be necessary.

Thats outstanding...... I say sign him for his fourth year. Let him pine for two years if necessary(sp?). If he has no trade value.....Screw his career up like he is screwing the rockets now. Cato seems to be providing everything from the 4 that we ever dreamed of from EG(although Cato is notorious(sp) for the preseason...but that was for a contract). I just wonder about the backup 5 now.

It would be ok. You forget, we're missing alot of people now. When Amaechi is in at the 5, Mo Taylor will be at the 4, and we'll also have a shooter or two out there (Francis/Mobley, Mobley/Piatkowski, Francis/Piatkowski)

Well I voted C. The wavy lays are sounding like a good deal right now... (we're talking potato chips right? ...not some type of waterbed adventure? )
