MLK had a lot of choice words about silence and enablers, looks like we still have plenty of people who instead of simply saying "This is just wrong if true, we can't stand for this." we get "whiners, the Jews had it worse." Very promising moving forward. This isn't a contest on who had it worse when and where, it would be nice if we could just all mostly agree that in America we don't stand for this.

If only it was just criticizing. I'm agnostic, I was criticizing Christianity last night. All of these religions can F off as far as I'm concerned. Richard Dawkins is one of the most open atheists that attacks Islam and religion constantly, yet even he wasn't a Trump supporter because he doesn't support crap like that. This isn't about just criticizing, it's about actually attacking and intimidating Muslim people. If you excuse it then you enable it.
You shouldn't expect any more empathy than those on the left gave those who were worried that Obama's election would impact their religious freedom and their constitutional rights. They were actively mocked by Obama (cling to guns and religion to explain their frustration).....and so far Trump has taken the high road. We'll see where it goes from here.
Well I would empathize with those people if they were being attacked physically for being Christian or for having guns. It just didn't happen though. Was there this spike of it from Obama? Did Obama had that rhetoric that Christians should be banned? The closest thing we had for such were the shootings (Like Orlando) and everyone empathized with the victims of the shootings.

The Obama administration did target Christian and conservative groups though....or have you forgotten how he used the IRS to attack those who he was against? He did target the 2nd amendment....he just didn't get anywhere with it. He was petty and he was divisive, I think the difference is that you didn't mind the people he alienated, mocked, and attacked. Also, Trump hasn't yet done anything worth being worried about. People don't actually have any reason to freak out right now. Now if he actually does something to attack certain groups then I'll sympathize and attack him myself. Till then it's kind of stupid.....just like those who went out and bought up a ton of ammo and AR-15's when Obama was elected.
