Best outcome? Trump is stymied and fighting with the congress and there is a stalemate for the next four years. Someone else is elected in 2020 and everyone learns that we don't want a President that a racist, sexist, and xenophobic.
It's forward thinking people like yourself that really have my hopes up for tomorrow being better than today... keep up the good work.
I know..... we should reward xenophobia, racism and sexism. It should become the new template for President of the United States... Now THAT is forward thinking isn't it okierock?
Technically, according to you, that would be backwards thinking since in your mind it already happened.
1. That he takes a somewhat more isolationist foreign policy that keeps us from fighting these Middle East wars, while still somehow doing enough to support our allies. 2. If he's going to sacrifice our environment, that we at least get some economic bounce out of it. 3. That we get rid of some of the really useless regulation (while he's also cutting the important stuff). 4. If things go right, we gain more jobs from blocking foreign competitors from our markets than we lose by being blocked from their markets. 5. If he at least appoints Justices that are intelligent and honorable people, even if they are conservative. But, mostly I expect bad things.
Trump reveals that he was serious when he said you can say whatever you want to Republicans and they will believe it. The Wall? ROFL Lock her up? figuratively speaking of course! Muslim ban: haha u seriously think we can figure that out? what, immigrants gotta pee on the Quran when they get off the airplane? Cut off all federal funding to Houston on Day 1: well that might save some money. . . .
Even assuming this is true, the problem is the jobs we are getting back are of much lower "quality" & pay than the ones we'll lose in this situation (eg, getting back a bunch of minimum paying jobs making T-shirts, shoes, toys and losing a bunch of much higher paid skilled labor & engineering jobs at Boeing, Caterpiilar, GE etc)
