Boki played AGAIN the most minutes, 41 min, 9 POINTS, stats don't lie, this guy is Horrible, rox woulda won by at least 10+ if he would just knock those wide open shots?? think that dude suffers from Performance Anxiety.

You Guys are hard on Boki. Sometimes I think I am watching a different game than many of the people on this board. The kid really impresses me. So what he got posterized. His defense on the whole is solid, and after Yao, he probably plays fundamentally sounder basketball than anyone else on the team. Meaning he isn't making stupid mistakes and doesn't take us out of the flow of are offense like some of the other players.

He doesn't force anything and only shoots when he clearly has an open shot. He doesn't hold the ball to long he drives to the basket well and then passes off to the open man when he has know option. He tries to get it into Yao as often as he can (pay attention steve cat and mooch) and he does this with a higher percentage of success than any other player on the team. He is always trying to box out for rebounds and can jump better than given credit for. He has been playing long minutes and yet I see him always hustling and running and most of the time he is the first man down the court.

He is not as athletic as Posey but he plays smarter and I for one am now glad we didn't resign Posey because we would have not seen these things from Nachbar otherwise. As for his shot, please do not compare him to Langhi. Okay so he is shooting terrible right now. But it is so obvious he is pressing.

The one thing that you hear about newcomers coming into the league is the game is so much faster and you have to adjust to getting your shot off much faster, It is just the way the league is and regardless if you were a great shooter in college or especially in europe you know have to adjust to shooting faster and that is not an easy transition and takes game time action to accomplish. But Boki has shown signs of adjusting and I am convinced Boki will soon become an adequate shooter and only get better.

Hell the purist shooter coming out of college last year looked terrible in the beginning. He was drafted much higher than boki(dunleavy) and in the beginning of last season just looked terrible but he finally came around. (Personaly I like Boki better than Dunleavy he just looks better all around). So don't give up on Boki just yet. In my opinion he is one of the bright spots of the preseason, him and Yaos improved confidence and strength. Oh and let's not forget Cato's hustle. Those three changes along with the additions of Pike and Jackson will make us a better team.

    Great post.

I think Boki has a better outlook than Griffin does in terms of learning curve, that of Griffin's looks as flat as his jumper.

    oh really?
and just who is it that made it official?

He got 15 pts tonigt...played smart basketball..and has better D than most of you were predicting.

3 treys in the 4th...and a real nice slash to the bucket for a dunk.

Im certainly glad people like you and jerome arent making the decisions for the Rox.

I am sorry for no putting the rolling eyes in post. I was only being sarcastic. Those who lebelled him a bust in the first 2 pages of this thread interesting have all dissapeared. Shows how fickle and annoying fans can be.

Boki plays hard, and puts forth great effort. His shot is starting to fall, and he played well against the Kings this last game.
All you supreme intelectuals who want to call him a bust when he's barely gotten his feet wet in the NBA, need to have a little patience. It's not like we are talking about a 3rd year player here. Sheesh. You want perfection from the start. Let the coaching and experience go to work on our players, give it at least a little time, and then make your judgements.

JVG stated that he is looking for players that will play hard. Boki is just that. It's preseason, and a few of our players are out with injuries and personal problems of sorts. Boki is getting playing time, like it or not. :p
I suppose he'll get better by sitting on the bench...

    oh man...talk about misunderstanding.

    my bad then...

    :)

note: some people hate them, but smilies go a long way towards helping determine intent. Thats why I use them extensively...I want no misunderstanding of where I stand.

Boki is worthless; Hes a wasted first round pick; He has no trade value; wait a minute, he just SUCKS !!!!!!! But he will be the most expensive bench warmer.. Man I hope they cut him...

You know what guys.. i really like this line up we have going right now... ming/cato/nachbar/jj/francis.. we really come out of the gates running.. mobley, taylor, E griffin and pike have got some contention for their starting rolls.. it will truly be interesting how what kind of trades/roster moves/ and what the IR will look like by midseason.... i like what JVG is doing.. this team is starting to look good and really mesh together.. and the jerseys are growing on me.. and NACHBAR- MOST IMPROVED PLAYER!!!!!

If calling someone's rebounding spastic elicits a response, you like being the PC police.
