    How did Romney and McCain lose and Trump win? Even Jeb bush or Marco Rubio would do, but Donald Trump?

    It occurred to me this morning, when I woke up and saw the final results, that I feel about the same with Trump winning as I would have felt if Hillary had won. Nervous, a little apprehensive, but cautiously optimistic that things will work out. Trump will be a more moderate President than his campaigning. He does believe in working with opposing sides to make deals, but he is woefully behind in having actual policy. So, I will wait and see. I think the most important thing he can do, and it will need to be his first steps anyway, is carrying through on one of his campaign promises that nobody talks about: getting a cabinet full of all the best and brightest people out there. If he does that, I think he, and we, will be ok.

    This is a lot like accepting death. Too much uncertainty.

    He's already picked out people for cabinet Giuliani, Gingrich, Priebus. It's gonna be one helluva ride.

    Good grief. I don't like Trump. But to think that a murdering felon would have been better is insane. Best hope in my opinion is that Trump is impeached the first time he passes gas in the wrong direction and Pence takes the chair. Hillary in the white house would have been an utter terror.

    I did not vote for Trump nor I like him as a person but I will respect him as the POTUS. Has OP done that with the current sitting president?

    See guys? President Obama's actually gracious and positive about this (or he doesn't really care anymore since he'll be enjoying the good life now, idk). The direction and tone of politics in America has changed. You can either give it a chance, an honest look this time, or duck your head in the sand and get left behind.

    The tone isn't going to change at all. Especially if Trump hopes to build walls, ban muslims, and make stop and frisk national. It'll only get worse. It won't be anyone's fault but Trump's though since it'll be his rhetoric.
