I believe it is because D'Antoni will quickly see how worthless Brewer is and it will be magnified due to the early hole we will be in in this game. D'Antoni is many things but he will quickly see the error of his ways unlike McFail and Bicker.
I'm hoping this is Pringles' way of showing management that Brewer is garbage so they'll stop asking him to play Brewer.
You cannot be serious. I wake up to this news. Holy ****. This is strike one for me with dantoni. What the HELL is going on? Get this hack off my team
Didn't he already say that by outbidding the market to sign Brewer's replacement (Bazemore). Maybe he already said to Les...sorry my bad, but I need to use a buttload of cash to spend on replacing our $7m man. We are taking it a little to far to say Morey is forcing coaches to play Brewer MDA is giving Brewer 10 less mpg than his career average, so it's more than 3 coaches in a row. Me thinks had we put it to vote how many minutes should Brewer get, I'm sure half the people who vote in these things would say 0 minutes, and the other half would say 10-15mpg is tolerable, given our weak bench.
seems like it's a way to get more offense and structure on the second unit and hope that Brewer shoots a higher % if he's getting open looks set up by James. MDA has shown willingness to at least try things out, so i doubt it'll stick too long if it doesn't work for him... You can run some plays for EG and get him in the paint...only worry is he isn't afraid to crash into defenders and he can and has hurt himself like that..
Brewer may be getting showcased here to increase his trade value. Wouldn't be surprised if this move resulted from a MDA discussion with Morey.
The idea of having a big SG to guard the PG's, add some help rebounding and rim protecting while making opposing PGs guard them right back is solid. Should 100% be KJ McDaniels.
My worst fear is that he does have a good game. It will justify him playing. I just want it to end already..
"To match up with John Wall" & for "defensive purposes" Hehehe ... Thanks for telling the truth Calvin. I hope Leslie doesn't ban you. Rockets coach Mike D'Antoni told reporters in Washington starting Corey Brewer at guard against the Wizards should increase the pace. "We want to get up and down a little bit faster and get the pace up a little bit and Corey does that," D'Antoni said. "He really runs the floor well. If we can start off the game that way maybe we can increase it during the game." The Rockets' offensive pace per 48 minutes is 96.9, 16th in the league.
