At least we wont see Bobby Brown doing ISO and brickicg when Harden is on the court looking for Brown to pass him the ball.
Did they solve any problems last season? Heck no, so they won't be solving anything this season. The team just needs time to gel as a unit.
There's not a single team in the NBA that would not get better by adding DMo and Beverley. and BTW, what happened to Beverley? Before coming to NBA he wasn't defense only no offense guy. He used to be a pointguard playing in Europe, maybe he still can.
When are these two ever healthy? Bev would help with PG defense (but that's not saying much, Bev's defense has not been what it used to be). D-Mo would be a nice scoring addition off the bench and a guy who does a little bit of everything except rebound. So yeah, PG defense and rebounding would still be issues, as well as defense of course. If D-Mo can lead the scoring off the bench then our abysmal bench scoring would improve. This is how I see it helping the most. If these two guys can suit up that means we have Bev, KJ, and Dekker to back up our 1-3 and D-Mo to backup Anderson. No reason to see Brewer on the floor, but I'm sure he will still get minutes somewhere. He just does.
DMo- No Bev- Yes Bev is clearly missed. If Bev plays we definitely win the Cleveland & Lakers game. We've missed that tenacity at the PG position. DMo is decent at taking charges but his one on one defense is a liability. His rebounding is atrocious and defensive rebounding will be a problem for us. The Rockets need a more physical PF/C that'll rebound, defend & run the court. None of those things DMo does well
Weren't you supposed to move to Pelicans? Don't they have a fan forum in New Orleans? Terrence, you should work on your game to stay in the league, DMo is no longer your rival for minutes, no need to trash him online. Did I say Terrence, I meant "Hakeemthagreat".
Adding 2 rotation players that are better at D than anyone currently on the roster at their position will certainly help, will it tip the balance? Dunno, that is TBD. But it would certainly HELP ! DD
I know it's impossible for you to comprehend somebody critical of DMo, given he's probably your favorite Rocket of all time. But in the real world, he's not nearly as good as you want him to be. Absolutely no teams want him lol. But don't worry though, no need to tear down your autographed Dmo posters off the wall quite yet
PBev is worth about 4 clutch defensive rebounds a night. With under 4 minutes in the half it just seems like he always finds a way to snag a DREB. Hoop - STOP - Hoop, baby.
He leads them if you're going off of a sample size of 5 games. Use the past 50 games stretching into last season and you get a more realistic statistic.
Would help us, but wouldn't solve our problems. Our problem is we don't have contender level talent, and that won't change easily. We're going to be an average to above average team this season no matter what, don't expect any miracles. Getting Bev and D-Mo would give us a better 48 minutes because you'd have Gordon coming off the bench and D-Mo as an option competing for minutes at the 4/5. That's better, but not a lot.
No. We need a dominant big, even if it's just to gobble up all the rebounds. We need someone that people fear going into the paint on. Our offense appears to be fine. I'm just worried about defense. Clearly Capela isn't ready to make a giant leap forward yet. I love D Mo and really want him back on this team, but if I could choose a better rebounding PF that also isn't a black hole on defense, I would. I also just don't want to take the risk on his back -- unless it's a one year deal or a multi with a TO. I do think he could have made a difference two years ago when he went out in like April before the playoffs. We might not have been able to beat GSW with him, but I bet he would have made it much more difficult on them.
