RocketsLegend First of all Trump isn't leading my party because I don't have a party. The RNC have stated that the people don't choose the candidate, the party does. They are planning to screw my candidate of the nomination. If the system wan't rigged against Trump then I would take your action in heart beat but that is not the case. Trump is the absolute underdog. look, Trump is in a fight against democrats, republicans, media, billionaires ect... This is like the 95 rockets having to go through all the teams in the playoffs as road underdogs, it did happen but it was a huge upset. I made enough bets in my life time to know not take a suckers bet. The best I can do is give you a 1/1 odds on 100 dollar payoff. 100 dollar if Hilary wins and 200 if Trump wins. I didn't write it -- it was posted in my FB feed by multiple German friends of varying political persuasions. I tend to be mindful of Godwin's law and not go there, but I felt it warranted sharing. I personally don't think Trump is a fascist, properly speaking, but he speaks a language of anti-intellectual nativist populism that I do find abhorrent on it's own terms. I personally can't see a reason to support a Trump presidency unless it's out of a completely cynical vote of no confidence for the system itself, like this: And that's a line I'm not nihilistic enough to cross.
I also had this in my Facebook feed, it was posted by several people, also ones who are very conservative. I don't think Trump would even get 5 % of the vote in Europe. I have spoken to some Americans recently, even educated ones, and was shocked to hear that several of them seem to want to vote for Trump. But I also totally see Zizek's argument...
I would say it is a real stretch to say that a Republican Presidential Candidate whose opponent is known for close ties to the banking industry going after the biggest Democratic donor, the chairperson of the Fed, and someone from one of the big investment banks is anti-semitic. He put Obama in there too, was the video racist? He had Clinton, was the video sexist? Jewish people have done very well in the financial sector, but a criticism of the financial sector is not a criticism of Judaism.
How can anyone support this blathering idiot? Trump's biggest enemy is, like all dictators and despots that came before him, reality.
