Have a feeling we'll have a deal done before the weekend is over.

I can only repeat what I said the other day. I don't think the deal will be done very soon.

Ryan Anderson was Dmo replacement. Dmo is injury prone worse than ryan, and dmo not even that good compared to ryan, so its pretty pointless to sign him. Let him go back to his country, waste of a pick.

Nov. 23 date is important. As is the new CBA agreement.

Since this crazy FA market began.

If the Rockets had the team option, they weren't risking 15M, just the 7M in the first year.

I agree. I think he screwed up refusing the QO. Now he is stuck. As Batman Jones said, I don't think the Rockets are going to "risk" letting him go into UFA next year because DMo would command big money if he played well. Now he'll have to prove himself in TWO seasons, instead of ONE.

Anyway, all I was saying is, without the second year team option, holding out would make no sense whatsoever. With the team option, it is at least understandable why he is still not signing.

DMo can play center and has a nice post game, Ryan can't and doesn't. They are not really very similar players at all.

But they're similar players! In the same way that Chandler Parsons, Kyle Korver, Jimmer Fredette, and Porzingis are all similar players. ;)

It makes them look worse. Less than full MLE, wanting team options, leaking to the press... This is why players/agents around the league don't want to sign with the Rockets. Gotta give max contracts to one side of the court role players like Anderson instead.

Looks like we're actually in need of Dmos services right now. Could use a 7 footer on the team.

We need a 7 footer that plays like a 7 footer - especially on defense. Not a short-armed position defender.

So yes he would help a little but we'd still be garbage on D.

He'd keep the scoreboard moving as well when Harden sits.

Right, but if we're letting the opponent shoot 60% it won't matter

he's a decent positional defender but we also desperately need rim protection and rebounding from our bigs

Well so far this season Nene is allowing 65% at the rim and Anderson is allowing 73.7% at the rim....hell Capela is even allowing 55.3% at the rim.

DMo last year allowed 47.1% and the year before that he allowed 48.8%. It's fair to say that he'd greatly improve the defense.

The only reason Dmo's numbers were good is because he played with the great Terrence jones at PF ;)

Very true, Terrence Jones' -3.64 DRPM last season was absolutely something to behold.
