I've used the app and also 5miles app. I'll list the same things on both and I've had more responds with 5miles.

Let us know how it goes. Another option is to join Facebook groups in your area for selling stuff, a lot of them are closed groups (so take a day or so to get verified). I recently joined one in Austin and had some success (a lot better than the mess on Craigslist), they're normally under swap/garage sale groups etc.
