No wonder he's having problems shooting Brewer for us.

With d'antoni it's blatantly obvious his knowledge of the game and statistics etc is on a higher level . So with that in mind I trust what he is doing rotation wise so far . I understand giving a vet like Brewer a chance . It's 4 games in , he shouldn't have a set rotation yet .

This season so far has been a complete 180 in terms of coaching level and chemistry level . I can see this team continuing to improve over the course of the season . Of course my tune might be changed based on what happens vs the Knicks tonight ;)

I like what he is doing so far. He is rotating a lot of guys in and out in ways that JVG / Adelman didn't do normally (if my memory serves right - they typically had short rotations and stuck people in the 'dog house' for weeks at a time).

He is trying to make chicken salad out of chicken you-know-what in terms of our backcourt.

With no dependable PGs on our roster, thank GOODNESS we have Gordon next to Harden. That is saving our bacon.

I like it, I always think the best teams use a lot of their guys. Brewer may suck but competition is a thing. I hated how he just got guaranteed minutes the past few seasons. Everyone did, no matter how good or bad you played you'd be getting your same minutes. That's not the case any more. We've seen MDA change things up enough that Brewer has to know that he has to play well to continue to get minutes as KJ and Dekker grow into their games.

Coaching seems a lot better in comparison to the past seasons --- better in game adjustments, timely timeouts, and better plays.

Looking forward to a promising season.

If MDA takes Brewer and Ennis out of the regular rotation, and only uses KJ, Harrell, Nene and Dekker off the bench, he will be in the running for COY. That is until we get either Bev or DMo or make a trade......or it's garbage time like tonight.

Can't wait till bev comes back . I would only play him about 20-25 min , but he's a huge upgrade over Ennis

    Your memory somewhat deceives you.

Adelman was a short bench guy.

JVG was a short bench guy.

MDA is a short bench guy.

They all auditioned players for rotation roles.

This is basically what all NBA coaches do.

That's gonna be nice depth . Which will be needed because injuries do happen . If we can get those 10-11 guys all staying sharp and ready we can really make some noise this year

The level of competency in our current head coach compared to McHale and Bickerstaff is astronomical.

The best part of MDA so far is he's obliterating the stereotype about him that he loves a short rotation and never plays young guys. That's actually an Adelman thing.
