Why wouldn't Presti just wait until the end of the year to see what Oladipo does and just match another teams offer as a RFA? I could see extending him if he was off to a great start but he's not, Thunder with this and Adams signing I think close the door on FA for them this off-season. Presti is sharp but this move has me scratching my head.

I guess they pretty much got paranoid about losing another key player. But this composition is going nowhere and I see Westbrook leaving them in 2018.

Oladipo's contract makes me feel better about paying Ryno $20m/per.

They could match and go over the cap just like they did with Kanter and possibly pick up another piece. Presti looks like he's playing checkers and not chess with this move. Adams is another story, proven player that's would be in demand around the league.

They're trying to avoid the tax since they moved to Oklahoma City. Oladipo might have seen a better offer in summer, so they're better off signing him now. But like I wrote, this team is going nowhere. No cap space and no trade material.

Maybe he got burned with both Harden and KD and didn't want to let anyone else go. I think it's also a sign to WB that they want to be competitive rather than risk losing him to LA or NYC or some other big market.

OKC couldve dominated the league if they only just kept harden. Now regretting it and overpaying whoever they have.

Oladipo signed for way less, 21M less, than the max. I guess with the uncertainty of the new CBA and the 21M, Presti made the right decision and pulled the trigger. Hard to believe these new salaries though.

Wow 16 a year for Zeller? DMo is probably crying over his back right now

I haven't been watching much of OKC this year. How is Adams offensive game? Has he improved?

I'd say no, same game, dunks and layups. Westbrook made him a rich man with those alley oops.

I like the Zeller and Gobert deal (especially with the only 90 mil guaranteed + incentives). I really don't like the Dipo and especially the Dieng deal.
Dieng hasn't shown much improvement, is already a finished product and his defence is really bad. Plus the fit with KAT is suspect right now.

They can still trade him (Dieng) any time they want, he has plenty of value around the league, so why not ?
