Vipers acquire J.P. Tokoto from Oklahoma City Blue via trade

    VIPERS RECEIVE J.P. TOKOTO FROM OKLAHOMA CITY BLUE VIA TRADE

    MCALLEN, Texas, October 30, 2016 – The Rio Grande Valley Vipers, the NBA Development League affiliate of the Houston Rockets, has agreed to a trade with the Oklahoma City Blue to obtain J.P. Tokoto and Oklahoma City’s 2017 6th round pick. Oklahoma City Blue will receive the returning player rights to Will Cummings and Amir Williams and Rio Grande Valley’s 2017 1st round pick in exchange.

    Tokoto is a 6’6” , 220 lbs. forward from the University of North Carolina who last played for Oklahoma City Blue during the 2015-2016 D-League season. J.P. Tokoto averaged 11.1 points, 4.1 rebounds and 2 assists during the 2015-2016 season. Tokoto played a total of 48 games, started in 25 of those games and averaged 26.6 minutes.
