What was the final score, and who sealed the game?

We have a long way to go...this offense at times seems no different than last years which is a bit discouraging.

Short term vs long term thinking.

This really was great defense by the Rockets on the last play. But alas

They didn't fold or put their heads down. Shots weren't dropping but they played hard. That's something to be proud of... kind of

Harden isn't the only wing superstar to take 1v1 ISO's to close out games. People can continue to talk about how its bad and we shouldn't do it but its hardly revolutionary. In fact if Dirk was out there they'd be doing the same thing in return.

Last year we would have lost this game . So I'll definitely take it . Harden ,I think , will round into form as a pg soon . He's trying to find that balance between attacking and setting up teammates . It's tough to change mindsets play to play , but he's a smart player and he'll figure it out .

We also had some decent two-way players on the Rockets 2-3 seasons ago with guys like Dwight, Chandler, Motiejunas, young Ariza, healthy Beverley, Delfino, good Brewer, and younger Smith & Terry.

I think it's less effective now that we have less 2-way players who can help make Harden's game easier on both sides of the court. The Rockets used to get stops that would get Harden on the break for easy transition buckets with guys who could space the floor.

He hacked his arm. Even the Mavs announcer were calling it. Clear foul.

You're not addressing what I'm saying. No one here is disagreeing with you. What I'm saying is that's not excuse for throwing the ball away like it's a yoyo and forcing up absolutely woeful shots when he can get easier ones (pick and roll hello)

This game wouldn't have been so close if other guys like Ariza would have contributed more. Of course it's too much to ask for Ariza to have two good games back to back. Even Dekker contributed more off the bench. Ariza is too inconsistent for a starting small forward. I'm not expecting another 20 pt game from him for another 6 months.

    Let's analyze:

    Rockets 2-1. . 666 win percentage
    Mavericks 0-3. 000 win percentage

Best of 4 matchup between Rockets & Mavs
    Rockets lead 2-0

All is right in basketball world so far regardless of how it was accomplished. Yall need to live a little more in the present. You can't predict the next games outcome anymore than Yall could have predicted we would have lost to LA in game 1.

He had a bad game , he made bad decisions ( in the fourth quarter )

He didn't do that in the previous game .
He also didn't do that in LA

This is a new role , new teammates , third game of the season .

D'antoni is not mchale and he certainly isn't JBB. He will teach harden what to do better .

Harden isn't some chucker man . He didn't play smart tonight late . But that doesn't mean he's gonna do it every game . Hes gonna have the ball in his hands . He will make better decisions most of the time .
