Based upon what I saw last night, we need a center, A STARTING CENTER and we need one ASAP! Capela is not a starter and Nene is old and both looked the part last night. I know Noel is currently hurt but if I'm Morey I make a call for Noel or Okafor to get a feel of Philly's asking price. If they want Beverly and a #2 pick or Dekker and a #2 pick for Noel, done!! Same for Okafor. No matter what, neither Noel or Okafor is not going to be on their roster past this season. Noel will be a Restricted FA the yr., so we need to get him now to see if he's worth what his asking price is going to be this offseason. What you think Clutchfans??
Noel is not a starter either. You mean you want a potential starter, I guess. There's a lot of those out there...and fans usually find them in greener pastures of the mind. Keep in mind, Morey's #1 target last summer was a star Center...and one of the best passing centers. Prior to that, he got us Howard. Prior to that, a big target was Asik. I think he is looking for one, too. He's got you covered. Just not Noel...he's not a starter moreso than Capela...except in the greener pastures of your mind.
Codman has referenced Philadelphia in his semi-cryptic messages, although I think he has referred more to Okafor than Noel. Noel underwent surgery and is out for a little while. But clearly, we need to get bigger; we were getting reamed by Mosgov, of all players. Cousins would be the dream but acquiring him with our assets (Dekker, Capela, etc etc), even in a "three-way" (and don't we all love three-ways), doesn't seem plausible.
