Beautiful post. And I agree that climate change should be the #1 issue for future candidates. It's of vital importance and climatologists warn us that it's a more dire threat than terrorism. I hate it when people say there's some "liberal agenda" when it comes to climate change. Why, why can't anyone see that the Big Oil lobby is the group shouting that nonsense. Clean energy is vital to our survival and could boost the American economy as an innovator.

Same with medical mar1juana; it's readily apparent that Big Pharma is mounting a campaign against it so they can keep pushing their addictive opioids for pain relief. I'm not a conspiracy theorist in any way, shape, or form but these two issues are glaringly obvious scams on the American people.

I would be okay with Huntsman.

Meh on Cuban. His moral compass may be slightly better calibrated than Trump's, but other than that I have many of the same concerns about Cuban that I had about Trump. There may be a few business lessons that the federal government should learn, but for the most part government and business are two wildly different animals.

I get the desire some people have about wanting to elect an outsider in order to "shake up Washington" and "stick it to the establishment". I myself feel that Washington could certainly benefit from a slap in the face. But a President has an actual job to do. And in order to do that job well (which includes selecting good personnel for his/her administration), a person needs comprehension, experience and qualifications (both domestic and foreign) that is hard for a political outsider to obtain to a sufficient degree. Empathy is important too. And it helps if the person has a competent understanding of how US government works (Trump fails that test on a grade-school level).

I agree to a large extent.
