Is it me or does anyone else think that Jack McKeon would be a perfect choice to cast in the next sequel of "Grumpy Old Men"?? Come on Cubs! Beat this team that has no interest in keeping their team to be good for the future!
This has been the best postseason I can remember. Wow. Beckett is awesome. Pitching on 2 days rest? Take that pedro
Billy Corgan to sing during the 7th inning stretch. I just can't picture him singing that song with his usual singing voice.
Just curious have they said what the attendence for this game, with the inside stadium crowd and the crown on waveland? If they kept track of that, it has to be some kind of record truly an amazing site. I think the Marlins have this with Beckett going strong, but I think things will get a little interesting
God I want the Cubs to win so bad for the sake of 'That Fan's' future. Its sad to think a thing like this but if the Cubs win they may be responsible for saving "thats fans' life. and if they lose, who knows what a few drunk lowlifes will do. all it takes is less than 1 percent of the population to be heartless and scummy enough to create never ending misery for that fan. please let the Cubs win.
I have a feeling that Beckett is about on fumes right now. Don't know if it is too smart on McKeon's part to let him pitch this 8th inning.
Seriously what is up with the Marlins? They come into the league in 93 win the world series in 97 then dump all of their best players. Rebuild and now they are about to be in the series again, somebody knows what they are doing in Marlin's front office.
Cub's are dead. Meat of the order wiped out in 8th. As for Bartman: if people are going to behave that way for being a Cub's fan, then they deserve to lose for another 95 years. You got a Superbowl in '85. You got 6 fricking NBA titles in the past decade. Chicago people can go to hell if they feel they deserve this. Frickin morons.
Damn, does this f*cking suck. Oh well, the good news is that if Boston can win tomorrow, they will probably win this series in 5 games maybe 6. If the Yankees win, it will probably be a sweep by the Yankees that is only watched by New York fans because the fans in Miami don't give a **** about their team (although you can hardly blame them after what they went through after the '97 season). Breaking up that team like Huizenga did should have gotten the Marlins the death penalty, but oh no, these f*ckers are back in the World Series. Unbelievable and sad.
well, my mom is happy. She knows the first base coach for the Marlins, Perry Hill. and was rooting for the Marlins the whole time. The astros are her favorite team though.
