Well, when a team plays well, you have to give them credit. Calvin Murphy is the biggest Rockets homer ever...wouldn't have it any other way...

Yeah, that was annoying when he got all gung-ho that Peja finally made a few shots in the 4th Quarter to make the game close, and he was screaming something that was very annoying at the time that I can't even remember not a day later.

Yes, I agree it was annoying, but even I can appreciate how the crowd in Sacramento really gets into the game when their team steps up (wish it was like that in Houston), I think Calvin was just joining in with the fun.

I agree, I think he was just caught up in the moment and got a little excited watching the game. He is always pro Rockets and my wife (Spurs Fan) is always talking about how she is annoyed with Calvin because he is always basically..."a homer"

Well, Bill Worrel (sp?) was picking on Peja for missing several easy shots, layups, and jumpers, which is very unlike him. When Peja started dropping the bombs on us, like his normal self, Calvin just jumped in and made sure that Bill new that Peja was back to his normal self, shootingwise.
What harm is there in that? I suppose you'd rather hear nothing at all about the other team's players? How boring and one-sided would that be? We always complain about the other team's announcers, simply because they are just that-homers, and they don't give fair credit to the players, and their performance.
Bill and Calvin are the best, and they tell it like it is..sorry if some of you don't like it. :p

Stop complaining! He gave them credit for play GOOD basketball at the time they were. What's wrong with that? Some of you will find anything to nag about.

Farmer Calvin was giving the Kings all of the harvest. Those crops like alfalfa and wheat, not to mention china grass and mulberry were way to much praise to give to the Kings.
    ;)

However, Gerald Wallace did deserve props for that dunk on Boki. Murphy is a homer, but he did get excited about exciting plays.

I suppose that Calvin should have simply reacted this way when Boki got dunked on......

"Yeah, that was a good play by Boki, trying to get into position to draw the charge, but it just didn't work out that way."

Instead, he was real, and exclaimed:

"OH, MY GOODNESS! OH, MY GOODNESS!"

I prefer the later. There was nothing that Boki could do anyway, except duck and cover. :D

No disrespect to Calvin but he kinda got me annoyed when he wouldnt stop rambling about how Wallace posterized Boki. I mean I wouldnt mind for the first 30-45 seconds but he just kept on going on like he didnt have anything else to say. Of course that dunk was nasty and hype but come on. Atleast give some respect to Boki especially when hes struggling to reach that level that everybody wants him to be at. The best thing was when he was subbed out, the whole bench just stood up and gave him all props and high fives even after he was embarassed. That is what I call a TEAM.

Calvin Murphey is one of the most entertaining AND insightful color guys in the NBA. Everyone knows the guy is a huge Rockets homer (What is it, like, 25 years with the same team?) but he's also a fan of BASKETBALL. He's an excitable dude, but that aspect of his personality just makes games more exciting. Who would you jokers rather have... Rush Limbaugh?

Yao Ming is the most overrated center in the NBA...The league just wants a Chinese player to succeed...

What!? LOL, Ice, he got raped out there! He was posterized and then damned near tea baged. Calvin rambled for 45 sec because they played the play for 45sec on freak'n replay! Wallace needs credit and Boki will get his credit for trying to take a charge. (by the way, it wasn't a charge) Probably the best play of this coming year....but we will see!

That is what happens when you show us fans that your organization is commited to building a winning organization. And that's what happens when our team actually wins on a consistent basis.

Me personally, I have already boycotted the half-ass(tros). That sorry SOB is not getting any more of my money!!
