That's the Donald. vs Clinton tweet: <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" data-lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">The attack on the Orange County HQ <a href="https://twitter.com/NCGOP">@NCGOP</a> office is horrific and unacceptable. Very grateful that everyone is safe.</p>— Hillary Clinton (@HillaryClinton) <a href="">October 16, 2016</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
That's awesome. So glad to see something like this. The level of violence that is beginning to come out of this is disturbing. I am especially disturbed by the rhetoric from Trump supporters about rigged elections and violence.
Exactly! Lets blame the Republicans for attacking their own office. Who needs evidence? Anyways, Trump is despicable for going on the offence with Hillary on this. People going around blaming groups for an individual attack is pathetic.
Regardless of who did it, it's arson and a very serious crime. The perp can go to prison for decades. Whether it's a Dem fed up with the demagoguery of Trump or a Republican trying to frame liberals to rally the vote -- the perp is a complete moron who potentially just threw his life away. Burning down buildings isn't acceptable behavior. Hope he's caught and prosecuted.
Exactly what I was thinking. I didn't want to be the first to suggest this as some sort of Karl Rove-ian move (back when he was helping a Texas gubernatorial candidate win, he bugged his own candidate's office; Mark White wasted a bunch of time at the debate explaining how he wasn't behind it. Damage was done. Not the only reason he lost, I suppose, but still. Again, nothing to do but wait for the investigation to turn up any facts. I can only hope there's a camera that recorded Rudy Giuliani sneaking away from the crime scene, but that would be too much to ask. Faux Republican trollster outrage response in 5, 4, 3, 2..... This. ^
