    truth and Miggidy..

I can see she/it is starting to get to you also....but think about those of us who got tired of her shtick long ago and used the ignore feature..

It doesn't do any good to ignore that troll if guys are going to quote her crap.

    to any and all...

if you cant stand the stuff she posts...dont quote it.
Some of us do have her on ignore.

    on topic...

    good game from the boys.
the looked like a team for most of the game.
Boki continues to hustle, played decent defense on Peja nad has a really nice touch on those passes..does anyone else think he is probably the best entry passer?
Cato did a decent job at the 4...it is obvious that he cant do it fulltime, but it is nice knowing he can hold the position down under the right circumstances.
Yao is killing at the FT line...whatever are teams going to do to stop him? you cant play Hack-a-Yao with that kind of %age..:)

    one thing that killed us.....rebounding!
geeze guys, at least make an effort. I saw way too many times last night when the shot would go up...they would just watch it and not even go after the ball.
Sac killed us on the glass last night.

PnRs are getting better...but they still need alot of work.
VG neeeds to keep working on that...

oh yeah, and of course...our shooting needs some REAL work.
somebody get Calvin in there to teach some of these guys how to shoot.

Back the truck up Sweetie - I know you like Pike, but you complain about Peja burning Boki and you want Pike guarding him? I thought Boki did a good job guarding Peja about 1/3rd of the time - not bad for a rookie.

I was impressed with Yao's defense on Vlade - he shut the tricky old man down. People have been commenting on Yao's low number of shots, but it would have been much higher if Sacramento wasn't trying to hack him to death. Yao is doing a much better job holding onto the ball this year and isn't giving up TO's on double teams. Also, Sacramento started doubling Yao before the ball even got to him, so we had some problems getting the ball to him.

Overall, I thought the offense and defense looked much better. If Boki can find his shot, he's got a big future with the team - he showed he can run the court well with those long legs.

Yeah... Boki had a different look to him tonight... He turned something on, cause he just looked like a different player out there on the court. He looked a lot more confident in his game, which it seems that he is slowly finding.

Darn it. He didn't shave. At least my prediction was right... off by many points. :) I will save the prediction for the Western Conference finals. Anyone who would like to disagree, please wait until then to answer... :)

I've never felt worse after a victory than after that one. That second half was beyond horrible...

That's what I thought at first, but Boki might have gotten there a little too late, I think you have to be set before he goes airborn (and boy did he get some air). I think refs have to let things like that slide or no one would get dunked on. Look on the brightside, Boki had the Top 10 play of the night!!

There was alot to feel good about in this game. Steve decided to run the offense the way it was supposed to be run 90% of the time. He was hitting the right man and penetrating when he needed to. He kept the iso's to a minimum.

If Steve plays within the confines of the offense, he can be extremely effective. When he doesn't have the ball he is still extremely dangerous, because if he gets the ball back with the defender just a bit out of position, the defender is toast!

Yao was great, keeping his percentages high, Cato was rebounding, and JJ was hitting some open shots.

Like Bill Worrel said, I am starting to see a "T.E." Not a TEAM yet, but getting there...

    A WIN!

Even though many of SAC's players weren't in, a Mercy win is nice.
Who cares how we win as long as we do it!

    Oh wait...its just the preseason.

I am so glad that my prediction was Wrong. Good job Rockets, and JVG. Maybe we dont need Eddie at all? We need a banger just like BRAGG.:)

hear ye hear ye! The Rockets shooting percentages will improve into a healthy looking stat when Pike and Mo T. return.

It seems that JJ isn't showing much in the preseason so far. I'm thinking he should be relegated to the backup role for the 2-3 spot. And I don't really see much minutes for AG, Jackson and Pike should get the nod ahead of him. And I'm glad Nachbar is getting more comfortable. For those of you who saw the game, how was Braggs? Should the Rox seriously consider signing him?

I didn't really notice Braggs too much, too focused on Steve and Yao I guess.

As for JJ, his shot has been off, but he brings some leadership out there. He is telling people where to go, playing hard-nosed defense, and he can setup the offense sometimes. He has a good grasp of JVG's philosophy. IMO, he makes Cuttino expendable. Griffin can start at the 3 and Pike can be the backup at the 2 and 3. I also wonder if it's a coincidence that Steve's best game came with Cuttino on the bench.

Braggs looked better to me than Amaechi - but so does Cornell. Amaechi just has no explosion, and most of his moves are easily anticipated by a decent defender. I can't count the number of times Amaechi has had the ball near the basket this preseason but was unable to score.

    :(

Just curious, does something happened to cuttino, how come he didn't play at all? Is he injured? I checked the box score, doesn't seems like he played at all.

A little dramatic you think? Teams make runs in the NBA, I think the Rockets did a good job of overcoming the King's late push in this game. It wasn't perfect, but you have to start somewhere...

It would be nice of you to TRY to say something atleast constructive if not positive about the Rockets every once in awhile... :p

I remember Calvin and Bill saying something about his hip giving him some problems so he was taking it easy. Sounds like they are just letting him rest while the younger guys get some action. It did not sound like anything that was too serious.

I am an official Amaechi basher, he is a big soft terd.
Bragg physically looks like he can whoop some ass, but the best thing about him is that he appears to be a nice role player, (no ego) that can spot up and knock down a 15footer.
