Perhaps. I imagine he'll still get a fairly solid deal, but it's clear the Rockets are just fine waiting this out. They still have all the leverage.

    Both can be true.

He doesn't hurt the team enough this season for them to mortgage future seasons with a contract money views as unfavorable.

The Rockets tried their best to invest in the 4 position, unfortunately they came up short each time. (Bosh and LaMarcus anyone)

Agreed Dmo was not their plan from the get go. If he was they would have been locked him up months ago.

This is what I'm worried about. If DMo is confident about his health, he would have taken a short deal to prove himself for a bigger deal next year.

That's exactly what I tried to tell that hotel, if they were confident in the quality of their services then they'd let me have that room for half price in order to prove themselves for the next time I happened to be in that city.

Call Hotels around 8 pm. the night of and see if they have empty rooms at half price. The one's where there's left overs (what DMO is right now) will negotiate instead of just leaving the room empty.

Or that hotel could just rent it later to someone else at market rate....you know...what other people are willing to pay for the level of quality and service.

Unless of course their prices were over inflated to begin with or they had a truly bad agent...I mean marketing strategy.

DMo is going to end up signing a 1 year, $10MM contract right before the regular season starts. Mark it down.

If DMo would just hire William Shatner, he would be sold by end of day.

D'Mo wants things to be one way, but it's the other way

What's fair has nothing to do with what's reality.

I doubt it. If he signs a one year deal it's $6mil or less. You think the Rox are going to more than double their QO price?
I could see $10-$12mil for 2 years, or something like $5-7$mil/year for 3 years.

I agree that Dekker looks ready to shine -- in meaningless preseason games, often playing against the opponent's scrubs. Anyone who thinks Dekker can contribute more this year than DMo is deluded.

Hah, well the only reason Dekker might contribute more is because he is under contract atm...

A healthy Dmo would be worth 10+ a year in today's market but the problem is Dmo is not healthy. Rockets have his medical reports.

he told he was 100% few months ago, but i wouldnt trust him... he have been saying this for like a year, and every time hes "more" 100% healthy than previous. Also what the **** he is waiting for. Just sign 1y 5mil and show you can play and be done with it. Next season there will be like 10teams lined up to pay you 10-15...

There is no question that we can use Donatas. I hope we can wrap up a deal this month. We could really use the depth, skill and attitude that Donatas supplies. Not only that, when Anderson is cold, we need a viable alternative. Donatas can DESTROY people on the block and he really has good habits when it comes to defensive rotations.
