I'll play Devil's advocate - we look somewhat sloppy on offense and REALLY sloppy in transition. If we are that sloppy in transition, GSW is going to score 150 on us.
What impressed me on that play wasn't so much Dekker, but rather the sweet pass from Gordon. I haven't seen Gordon play that much (not that surprising, given his history), and I'm looking forward to seeing a heck of a lot more if he can just stay on the court. Very nice, heypartner.
I love the HP Series but I think this is a bit of over analyzing. This likes look a very common typical mini-run you see in any basketball game.
Didn't we run pretty well 2-3 years ago under McHale? Then we were exposed when teams started to stay back on transition and our half court game sucked. The good news is, our half court game should be better now that we have better shooters.
Kyle Wiltjer, aka THE GREATEST HUMAN ALIVE, is going to make D. Morey look like a genius. The Wilt is the ULTIMATE ESCAPE VALVE for James, DRIVE INTO THE LANE AND JUMP W NOWHERE TO GO" Harden.
This thread really sounds like "This is what happens when you try to run on MDMA." Probably pretty cool, for the first minute.
Firstly, screw The Warriors. Secondly, hard to see how it could be worse than last year when the team was still sloppy, but also disengaged and lethargic.
If you watch the games the Rockets never needed to play with a sense of urgency. They were in complete control both games. To me that was the biggest take away from the 2 games in China.
Would trade Dekker for Magic's Aaron Gordon. Rockets need more athleticism, rebounding and D versatility from 3-4 position, especially in post season. Rockets have enough offensive firepower and Magic don't have a clue on what to do with Gordon as they are stacked at the 4 spot.
I agree with your premise. But that is EXACTLY what Pop did against MDA, Nash, and Amare and Co years ago in the playoffs. The Spurs were better than the Suns at their own game.
