Going back decades to find sexual assault victims trivializes sexual assault, unless of course, Donald Trump himself does the exact same thing. The Trump campaign's entire strategy for fighting these allegations by going after Bill is just completely moronic and only appeals to his deplorables who are on board no matter what already. Trump knows he is going to lose and is determined to burn this entire presidential campaign (and the dignity of our country) to the ground in the process.

 

It's also thinly veiled misogyny when the wife is nothing more than an extension of the husband hence "Bill is accused of rape therefor Hillary is equivalent to a self professed rapist".

This is truly a bizarre post. The wife of a former President, a former President who had all these allegations investigated by people trying as hard as they could to find anything on him related to the crap Trump is pushing that was actionable, and failed, is running for President herself and shouldn't mention her husband? The former President who actually had two balanced budgets? Who was President during an outstanding economy he didn't screw up? Who left office with one of the highest approval ratings since approval ratings have been polled, shouldn't be mentioned?

Clinton supporters get awfully whiny when called out on their bs mental gymnastics. Hillary is bound with Bill into a marriage - a contract. A court of law may recognize spousal privilege and excuse Hillary's noncompliance of reporting a crime. However, politics does not take place within a courtroom. She is just as guilty of her husbands actions as the coaches who knew what Sandusky was doing to those kids (i.e. Joe Paterno).

It speaks to her character when she, during the second debate against Trump, did NOT deny the implied accusations against her husband. Yet she continues to promote her husband as both a reference and part of her presidential credentials, and she continues to promote his appointment to a position of power within her sought after administration.

1. First Lady is a ceremonial position. If Bill Clinton is sleeping in the White House, it's only by dint of his marriage and his only actual power runs through his wife, the President.
2. Trump looks to be as much of a predator, if not more. And he'd be the guy actually in power.
3. The whole being a rapist thing doesn't matter in terms of their chances to re-offend or something. I don't expect either old man to make unwanted sexual advances on Angela Merkel or something. It matters because of what it implies about each candidate's character. Trump is a man of low character and poor ethics. This is reflected in his boorish and exploitative behavior towards women (and in many other ways besides). To whatever extent Bill Clinton abused his position of power to exploit women, it doesn't reflect very much at all on Hillary Clinton, who would not have known until after the fact. Even if you want to take a lesson about Hillary's character and ethics from how she reacted to her husband's misbehavior, I don't see how you can come away with anything nearly as negative a view as what Trump's behavior should produce.

Bill Clinton did bad things to women. There isn't a credible case that he raped anyone. If you would like to make the claim that Bill is a rapist, you will need proof.

I don't know of anyone who has denied Bill did bad things to women and was not faithful in his marriage.

Bill isn't a candidate for President. Trump is. What Trump has or hasn't done is more important in this race than anything Bill Clinton did 20 years ago.

Let me know when there's a known rapist in the whitehouse. What we know is that despite Bill Clinton been accused of rape, people who were out to get Clinton decided not to prosecute the rape allegation against him.

 

When it concerns Hillary Clinton, allegations towards her husband are sufficient enough for a conviction of Hillary but when it comes to Trump all allegations are a media conspiracy despite the fact the man is on video bragging about sexually assaulting women. Welp.
